Who is Mitch?
Harry has mentioned Mitch several times - it's not the guy sharing his office, his name is Warren. When Harry first gets his promotion in Roger's office (the Benefactor episode), Roger mentions that he knew what Harry had been up to (calling CBS), and Harry says "Mitch" like Seinfeld says "Kramer". Again, last night, he mentions Mitch. Was he in Season 1 somewhere?

I meant like Seinfeld says "Newman". You know what I mean.
Mitch shares the office, but is never seen. Isn't he the one whose paycheck Harry 'accidently' opens up? I too sat there asking myself, 'OK - who the hell is Mitch?"
Harry opens up Cosgrove's paycheck....I believe Mitch had the hot wife who looked good on the fourth of July, as per the relaxicizer discussion. Freddy Rumson's wife is not as attractive as Mitch's wife, according to Harry, I think. But I can't recall Mitch appearing in episodes. The office is small enough, you'd think we had seen everyone by now, particularly someone who was working there in 1960 in season 1.
Mitch is the office code for "heard through the grapevine..."
I don't think it is a real person, and means, "Don't ask me who told me."
I think Mitch is in accounting.
We have never met Mitch, have we?
I think Roger saying, "Mitch from accounting" means the rumor came from accounting.
Good question. JMHO
I don't have a clue who "Mitch" is. I just cracked up when Roger entered Harry's office saying: "Mitch says you want to expand" and Roger's eyes focus on Warren as he continues: "looks pretty big already."
I also don't have a clue how to get a customized picture instead of this gray shadow man. Can someone help? I'm new posting here.
Jamm54 clued us all in, former WRG'er, on how to get a customized pic for our posts...
I THINK you just go to say Google or someplace for images and then open up your"my pictures" file on your computer (click "Start" in lower left corner to pop up the choices where you should see Pictures or similar wording) and then click the pic(s) you like into that.
Then go to your "Edit Profile" (up there next to the "Mad Man" logo--to his right-- on this or any Mad Men site page)
Then down on that my profile page there's an area to download a user pic...
Open your "my pictures" file on your computer and click the picture you want to download for your posts (to replace the gray shadow man) and it should work. I know this looks confusing and I'm sorry... but if jamm54 reads this, she can likely explain it a lot more plainly.
I think I should have said upload not download...whatever. (The blind leading the blind!) LOL
I think they are playing with us about Mitch. It may be that we never see him, kind of like "Carlton, the Doorman" on Rhoda.
However, if they ever decide to show him, I'll bet it will be in a really clever way.

the same thing about the Dems folding bike. Maybe there's still hope.
The speculation on Mitch is ongoing and is a question repeatedly posed to the Mad Men cast and producers. The question has never been answered definitively, and makes me feel as if we are the brunt of an ongoing joke.
As an example, the following links are the threaded discussions held since Season One....there have been other mini-discussions within other threads as off-topic discussions on who he could be, could work, whether he was in Ginault campaign ad, and was married to.Ginault watch company (www.ginault.com), based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, keeps a comprehensive collections of vintage and new Rolex timepieces to preserve the legacy of Swiss haute horlogerie.
