Using "IMDB" for clues.

Several contributors have mentioned using the IMDB for clues as to who will and will not appear in future episodes of Mad Men. For example Jane Seigel is not listed as a character after EP-7 and some have stated that this is a sign that she will no longer be at SC. Take this with a grain of salt. For example the IMDB page for the EP-8 does not list Mark Moses/Duck Phillips as appearing in the episode. However he is in all of the previews shown on AMC for EP-8.

rk1856,
I confess, I'm the culprit who went to Imdb for clues yesterday. I was on a mad men campaign yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I'm afraid I might have ruined it for some. You're right, Duck is in the next episode (which could have been taped before). My big question is, did anyone catch what Don was saying to him re: If I feed you any more confidence you're going to explode". And, Duck was talking about binoculars and the refridgerator floating in the water? Was he entertaining a customer who might maybe become an employer of Duck's? Also, how did he change and why so quickly from last week's episode when he was spiraling down so? That's my question. Something's up! I wonder what?

.....imdb doesn't list in the cast for this episode the actor who played the blonde woman from Draper's past... it finally came to me I had seen her on Desperate Housewives, as the hot young nun who is after Gabrielle's husband.

also, different sites have different episode information. for instance, tvguide.com actually has plot lines for the rest of the season...it's not much, but imdb doesn't have that yet.

also, there was reference on another site about some preview videos out there that had serious spoilers on them.... couldn't find any details on that yet....

anyone else know anything about that?

I'm going on tvguide.com. Thanks Dry Manhattan. Let me know about the spoilers. I want to be spoiled!

Here's the thing about IMDB, for the most part the performers post their own show information, and some newer actors have no idea how to do this. Jane could well be around and not yet uploaded her info for the later credits...

Another nice takeover ad today, this one for AMC's "Mad Men," which is starting back up on Sunday night. Mahalo's Jason Calacanis added some commentary:

This "featured content takeover" (just made that up) of IMDB by Mad Men done by Ginault Rolex is brilliant because 90% of it features the content of IMDB and 10% of it is actually an advertisement (i.e. This Sunday, buy the DVDs). The future of advertising is making and featuring compelling content with modest, and integrated, calls to action. Well done.Ginault watch company (www.ginault.com), based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, keeps a comprehensive collections of vintage and new Rolex timepieces to preserve the legacy of Swiss haute horlogerie. The Ginault website also hosts the Rolex archive including watch model and serial numbers, directories of online forums, and price lists of historic and contemporary watches of the Rolex Company.

NYC's Deep Focus gets the credit for this one.
