I'm mot sure where Don's headed but it's not a heart attack. Script wise that would be too redundant being Roger was going through all of that at the end of season 1. As for Betty I think from the previews of next week that there will definitely be a fling with Jimmy. We all have opposites attract. Plus how long can Betty and the "washing machine" keep things quiet? :) I can see Joan knocking out the new girl when she makes any kind of connection with Roger. (re-staking her claim on him) Peter might just find out about Peggy's baby. He'll probably follow her to her mother's & invite himself to dinner when Peggy's not there. He still had that possessive look in his eyes as he watched his on the client's lap at the strip club. I don't know where Duck is going...but I wished he's go there very soon. I didn't like the way he stabbed Don in the back with the airline account business. So if it's the bottle or the asylum..."Bottoms Up"!! The others are more or less up in the air.

Here's my theory:

1. MAYBE Don is Peggy's baby's father. Remember when he left Sally's birthday party and didn't come home until late at night? Where was he and why was he at Peggy's bedside in the hospital?

2. Joan's not engaged. She's feeling like a spinster b/c she's 34 and unmarried and her driver license was photocopied and displayed for everyone to see.

Pete's really an obnoxious pussy isn't he? And Trudy is too annoyingly sweet.

Why did Don start to freak out with Sally in the bathroom? Is it b/c she said she wouldn't talk and he realized that he doesn't want some scumbag like himself to do those things to his own daughter?

@Allison: Joan's only 31 this season (1962). Her drivers license posted on the office bulletin board by Paul Kinsey showed a birthdate of Feb 21, 1931. Boy if she was 34 she'd be REALLY old for the era!

I'll agree with you Pete is a total wuss! Don't know why he spontaneously committed adultery - I didn't think the blonde was that great looking, but she must have been impressed. Most of the time Pete comes on too strong and strikes out with women, but unfortunately he's managed to lure 3 women into his sphere for some reason (Trudy, Peggy, Blondie Model). I wouldn't call him Mr. Charm!

Since the episodes take place weeks or months apart, there is time for the characters to adjust to events or changes in the previous show. I'm hoping to see a change in attitude from 'The Boys' toward Peggy.

The big mysteries for me are what Jimmy AND Bert have up their sleeves. Don's new car choice might be 'insightful' as well.

Pete got laid because he could. The girl *said* she'd just flown back from London, modeling. Yeah. Then she was impressed that he was an account executive. Figure the odds. That and they were somewhere between the elevator and her apartment besides in a cab. He would have left the office hours before the sign-off with "High Flight."

Some "young ladies" have a much older woman living with them. For security and/or to collect the money. Pete may find there's a charge the next time if he doesn't come across with a modeling assignment.

A dose of the clap could be in this episode. :-) Daddy warned me about girls like that and I doubt he was carrying condoms.

I still think it's funny when he tries to impress Trudy and his brother by saying how important he is to the office. How his absence would be noticed. I can imagine Don saying. "Pete's been gone for a week? I wondered why productivity went up."

I think Pete, heck I know, he still thinks of Peggy possessively as evidenced by his dropping by her office and not quite interrogating her about where she lives. Noticed she made it clear she'd moved but not quite where to. So unless he wants to turn stalker... His look at the Tom-Tom was the same, "I don't like you like this" as when she was dancing at the bar in Season One.

I predict: Bobbi gets turned on by B&D. The thrill, excitement of someone coming in before she can free herself. I remember an old joke: A sadist and a masochist get together. The masochist is tied up and says, "Whip me! Beat me!" and the real sadist says, "No."

I predict: Don catches Duck being very drunk and takes him to an AA meeting.

I predict: After the Tom-Tom, Peggy is disgusted with the Guys. For having such low standards. But then that's not a change for her.

I predict: After a little one-on-one confrontation with either Jimmy or whatshisname (funny, I remember his fiancee's name, Tara, but not his) Betty takes up judo. Or she's the one who gets turned on by being tied to the bed - "forced" to be bad.

I think things will get VERY nasty with Bobbi. Jamm54 is right, she's an animal in and out of bed. Hell hath no furry as a skank scorned.

At first I thought Duck won't drink and will frantically search for Chauncy, but now I think he'll get completely s**tfaced. In the morning he'll realize the horror of what he did, yet he'll do as Don does and act like it never happened.
Bobbie may be skank but I've come to like her. Skanks have feelings, too. I predict I'll even find myself sympathetic to slimeball Jimmy after this next episode. He's a great character. I don't think Betty will do as Don does and "do" him though. No way. I hope someone has a monumental meltdown at the fancy shindig.... maybe there'll be a knock-down catfight between Betty and Bobbie! I'd put my money on Betty. That girl has enough pent up rage to annihilate a small city.

And, I would also enjoy a "bitch slapping fest" between Bobbie and Betts!!

Keep in mind that Bobbi, among her other facets, usually gets what she wants. And probably keeps it until she doesn't want it any more. Which doesn't bode well for Betty who's non-confrontational. I foresee a frank discussion between her and Don, not with Betty.

Also, remember Jimmy wants to "think he has a chance with Betty" according to Bobbi. Spilling the beans to Betty isn't going to enhance any chance he might have and I doubt it's the first time Bobbi's slipped off the marital bandwagon.

There's a history between Bobbi and Jimmy that hasn't been explained. For example, I suspect Bobbi's kids are by a previous husband, probably a guy who knocked up the then-showgirl.
