Season 2 Wish list
We're about half way through Season 2, so I think it's time to compile a list of what we would like to see happen the rest of the season (of couse, by now, all the scripts have been written and episodes filmed, but it's still fun to dream). Here is my list:
1. The return of Helen Bishop and her son, Glenn.
2. A Halloween episode (perhaps combined with a Cuban Missle Crisis episode).
3. A Christmas episode complete with aluminum tree and color wheel.

After his tryst with the model, Pete comes home to an empty, dark apartment because Trudy is canoodling with her former bf -- the same one who Pete forced her to recontact so he could get published.
An intimate dinner with Rachel on the rooftop of Menken's department store...
Sorry, I meant an intimate dinner with Don and Rachel...
And, yes, the stupid color wheel! We had one with the ugly aluminum tree. Yuck.
.....yes, the damned disco tree..... love that!
Pete tries to adopt Peggy's baby.
I believe I read somewhere they couldn't ever address Christmas explicitly because of their timelines, which was quite depressing. I'd love to see a New Year's office party with a sizzling and taboo kiss!
I'd like to see Pete become infatuated with Betty. That could really cause some trouble!
I'd like to see something really bad happen to Cosgrove. He's such a juvenile jerk! Maybe he should REALLY fall in love and get treated very badly and dumped!
I would also like to see Glenn come back. That was an intriguing storyline.
Sally should get a 'Patty Playpal" or :"Chatty Cathy" doll for christmas and absolutely the aluminum tree MUST appear somewhere for the Christmas episode. The office girls should be shown heavily anointing themselves with "Evening in Paris" cologne from those cobalt blue bottles. The kids can drink milk with BOSCO and eat MAYPO for breakfast AND Chauncey must be found and be treated to an enormous bowl of gloppy "Gravy Train" making it's own gravy. So many great old products from the 60s could make appearances and we've mentioned only a few. Let's not forget 'Colorforms' OR the "Venus Paradise Colored Pencil Sets". Having been five in 1960 I remember it ALL, fondly too!
Hi Elizabeth Omps! Thanks for the memories!
Have you ever received a Vermont Country Store catalog? There is also a website.
If you haven't, you should. They carry so many of the old products, and, they take suggestions from anyone who wants them to research and find an old product. Your Evening In Paris reference reminded me of this.
If you are interested, I'll post the website: www.vermontcountrystore.com
Ooh, I think a Halloween episode would be great - I love Halloween! And an office Christmas party would be good too - no "holiday" parties in the 60s! They did the election party at the office, Peggy's promotion celebration at PJ Clarke's, and Paul's party at his apartment, but I think something out of the office where everyone comes with their significant other would be really good.

sorry it posted twice.
Elizabeth Omps, wow the memories, I was 9 in 1960 and remember all that, too. I got a "Chatty Cathy for Christmas one year and pulled that string on the back of her neck so much I wore it out and when she'd say "I love you, will you play with me?" She sounded like Hal the computer being "killed" in "2001"---- "I leeerrrvvv yeeeaaaauuuu wiiilllll yyeeeeuuuu pllllllwwwwyyyy wwwiiittthhpppphhhh mmrrraaaaayyyy" LOL She was my favorite doll next to Barbie, of course. God how Ioved Bosco and I remember my mom either smelled like "Evening in Paris" "Tweed" or "Chanel No. 5" ahhhh memories.
Oh...and in the summertime, my mom would smell like "Desert Flower" by Shulton.
Oh, and for my wish list: (have to stay on topic sometimes!)
Pete tries to adopt Peggy's baby
Pete walks in on Trudy and old bf doin' it
Don walks in on Betty and the AC salesman
Roger has his "Graduate" moment at Joan's wedding (a separate post in one of the Joan forums)
Father "Colin" (Peggy's priest) tries to come on to her and she rejects him...at first
Duck takes a flying leap out the window and lands on Bobbie Barrett
Oh and that "disco" Christmas tree! Someone does definitely need to have that! Love it!
How Sal and Kitty got together.
The Cuban missle crisis as the season ender.
Cosgrove, now that he's seen Peggy in a whole new light (okay, the lights of the Tom-Tom) can't live without her and punches out Pete when he makes a disparaging remark about how she's so skinny.
Any bets on Duck and/or Bert Cooper surviving/in the series by season end?
We've seen Rachel. How about an update on Midge? With Roy who's shaved his beard and now is a Broadway mogul? Or will we have to wait until the success of "Hair?"
How about Rachel giving Don a call in the season ender, asking him to drop by Menken's?
Epi 8 is "A Night to Remember" I'm guessing it is Thanksgiving, '63 and the Kennedy Assassination.
