Peggy

I don't know if anyone else noticed Peggy had two pivotal moments last night. The first was when she told Don that it was a good thing that Playtex didn't go with the blonde/ brunette (or something to that effect)Playtex ad because they would have had to pull them all after Marilyn's suicide. Don gave a look of how impressed he was with her insight on that. The second was after she blew into Pete's office and yelled at him for not keeping his mouth shut. She wanted to be so mad at him for telling Roger about Freddie but when Pete informed her that they would all get a raise, lots of accounts and that she would probably get her own office, a flicker of recognition that this was going to be a big opportunity for her crossed her face. Freddie's misfortune was going to open up a lot of doors for her.

Hi emerygm! Ditto!! Cheers for Peggy!

I also noticed the body language from Don when Peggy made the Playtex statement.

One of the things I love most about Jon Hamm's Don is that he doesn't have to say a thing, and he is able to communicate his thoughts, and ideas.

He is so expressive without saying a word!!

I applauded Peggy as she finally stormed Pete the Worm. He's always right there to tattle. Not that I think Freddie was worth saving, but I admired Peggy for sticking up for something in a non-mousy manner for once.

I think from now on she will not let Pete manipulate/control her I hope so anyway

My favorite moment was between Don/Peggy, when Peggy said "But, I love Freddie" to Don (because she's uncomfortable for benefiting from Freddie's misfortune), and Don says in response, "Don't apologize for being good at your job." So true. Peggy is naive and doesn't see the horizon when it comes to office politics. Her goals are limited to doing a good job and should be loftier. When will this happen? Next episode?

You brought up a good point about Peggy's comment about the bra ad.
Peggy was the only woman that wasn't crying about Marilyn. She went right to what was important for SC.'

....the Ep. 10 previews have Draper and his staff in a meeting, and him berating everyone for not being on the same level with Peggy..... looks like things are going to get interesting, career-wise, for her.

Curious if Joan seeing that will inspire her professionally, or will she default into the marriage to Dr. Blondie, after all.

Did anyone notice that Peggy called Mr. Draper Don? I feel she was making a bold statement.

I hope there is never a Peggy/Don thing. I think Don is the teacher and Peggy the student that every teacher dreams of. Example, a high school science teacher creating a Doctor.

Speaking of Peggy, what was the point of the Indian Point meeting? The only thing I gathered is that Duck accepted Peggy as a valid member of the team.

Indian Point, a Con Edison nuclear facility, had only opened days earlier.

Ravenswood, another nuclear facility projected for NYC on the East River, never got off the drawing board after public outcry.
