More Marathons Needed

Hopefully AMC will air marathons of Seasons 1 and 2 so that people who never heard about "Mad Men" until they won the Emmy for best drama series will get to see it from the get-go. The summer is over (no more beach, lake, mountains trips?) and people will be more inclined to spend a day watching the marathons. It would be nice to add a lot more Maddicts to keep our favorite show going on infinitum (sp?).

On AMC there will be a marathon of Season 2 (Episodes 1-8) on Thursday, Sept 25th starting at 4pm (EST) so get your recorder ready! It will start at 3pm CST.

Just saw that announced tonight on AMC.

Any chance of a Season 1 marathon for those of us who arrived late to the party???

I am guessing that like other cable series, marathons are over for prior seasons once the season is available on DVD or pay on demand (i.e. I-Tunes), both of which apply to "Mad Men." Unfortunately, even before the Emmy win, no stores stock it in this area (even Best Buy does not have it).

The Target in my area (MA) sells Season 1; they even had some in the limited-edition lighter package. They are pricy, though--about $40. I bought my Season 1 on Amazon; it was on sale for about $32. Free shipping, too. If you're a Maddict, its worth buying--lots of extra stuff.
