drinking glasses
this might me a strange question but any idea on how someone mihgt get ther dringking glasses on mad men i amd talking about the gold rim with the fall leaves on them my parents had them would llike to get a set

Replacements.com
I've seen sets like that on Ebay before. Haven't checked lately tho'
Replacements.com deals in fine china and crystal...the glasses Don and Betty have are everyday glasses so they won't be able to help.
I just saw a few sets for bid on Ebay...they looked like those with the leaves and gold rim of Betty and Don's, anyway. good luck. Be sure to buy from someone who states they pack well, I had a bad experience with some glass items bought on Ebay once that broke in transit... : (
Hi clarewblue! Not a crazy question at all! greytone, SCfan, and Laurie B. are right.
My husband's grandmother gave me her fine china pieces she received when she was married. I wanted to add to the pieces, and replacements.com still had the pattern. The nice thing about them is you can buy slightly imperfect pieces for less if you want.
Ebay is great, I think I read some MM posters saying that Ebay has a section devoted to MM type items now. I am sure this has grown with Mad Men's increased popularity.
Antique stores are another area to look.
And believe it or not, I found some great Christmas design drinking glasses from the 1960's in a thrift store.
Best of luck shopping!!
Here on the Eastern Shore of Virginia there are loads of those glasses along with other mid-century decor at all the local antique shops. Gold leaf, pink rim, rainbow rim and tons cocktail accoutrements since everyone had a liquor cart. Glass stirrers, muddlers, you name it and the most important accessory - Mr. Boston's from that era has the greatest mixmaster concoctions EVER! Stinger, Rusty Nail, Zombie!!!! How did anyone stay conscious back then?
if you like going to antique malls, I've been seeing those glasses for years in antique stores and malls. They caught my eye even before mad men because like you, my parents drank their cocktails out of those! I'm thinking of looking for some now too.
