And the Court Fool's end?

Jimmy Barrett was a long time winning me over but I...well, no one can like the guy...But you can develop a grudging respect for him. He's the court fool...Licensed to say anything, even the truth, but utterly despised, even to some extent by Bobbie who seems to have come up the same way as he. Clearly he returns that contempt in ample measure, but always with that honesty that gives him a modicum of dignity...Remember how quickly he nailed Betty for her anti-Semetism "You mean comedians?" Not to mention pinning Don down like a captured butterfly..."You wanna step out, get a whore." There's a huge black soul in pain there but it's an honest one who despises the phoniness of the Drapers and their "perfect" life. I think whatever he claimed there was real pain under the scar tissue...Not that he trusted Bobbie in the slightest or expected any faith or devotion from her, but that couldn't stop it from cutting him up. One of many such cuts one could imagine. And now what will our Court Fool do? I would not be surprised to find any man jumping at the end of this season to be Jimmy Barrett for whom life has just turned too rancid and poisonious.
