I still think I'm a SITC gal at heart...I'm really a modern gal who looks back fondly on my youth and memories of my parents drinking, smoking and eating red meat.

But SITC is Mad Men for women like to drink (smoke in the early days of the series), have sex and dress fabulously, but do it while in control of their own lives!

I love MM, but if this were real life, I think the Sterlings ( and maybe even the Drapers ) would bore me to death. I mean, view them as simply dinner guests, without knowing anything about their lives or secrets. It would all be "shop talk", "mom talk", cigarettes and drinks. You wouldn't see past the veneer.

I never cared for SITC. So, as far as having an entertaining dining experience, I think I'll go with Tony and Carmela. Besides, everytime I watched The Sopranos, no matter how violent it got or who got "whacked", I was dying for Italian food by the time the show was over.

I have to admit, when I was single, I secretly wanted to go out to dinner with Tony Soprano (without Carmela), Not because I thought he was hot, but I thought we'd have a such a good dinner, we'd drink wine, eat dessert, have anisette and have a grand old time...

Um, lets just do lunch with all the main characters from Mad Men, The Sopranos and Sex and The City. And let's be sure to include MM's Pete too! Tony Soprano would probably take an instant dislike to Pete and shove his head into the dessert cart. How amusing! Meanwhile, SATC's Samantha would be all over Don- they do have 2 thngs in common: advertising and sex. Carmela Soprano could give Betty Draper tips on being less of an ice princess and Carrie Bradshaw could start a much needed make over of dowdy Peggy.

Lunch at the new Plaza (been there already and it's not the same, chairs too high and can't move them in Palm Court-champagne bar sticking out right in the main lobby-this would never be tolerable on MM!). But w/out question, Don Draper alone 4 lunch. That scene of him telling Mrs. Barrert to have Jimmy apologize, while pulling her hair and dress, has launched him into super-sexy-stardom for me! He may appear to be a bore at times, but we all know that he's not! Meet u there at 1, Don!

No contest!! A long lunch w/ Don Draper at the Plaza. Then hopefully followed by an intimate dessert in one of the penthouse rooms/apts.

I'm so digging Jon Hamm as an actor. I fell for him in Providence and I'm so happy to have found him again in Mad Men.

I've been adding to my Netflix movie list w/ other shows he's appeared in, just to catch up. Just getting into his appearances on The Unit. The stubble and specs...OMG. The camera just loves him!

I must be the only red blooded female that does not want to sleep with Don Draper. He is just too sleazy for me--cheater extraordinaire. I would like to help me see his wicked ways and have a happy, fulfilled marriage with Betty. I do think she loves him and would try and help him if she knew his true family background.
So, my preferred dinner guests would be Tony and Carm!!! The things I would ask them..Like, what is up with that ending?????
