I know I know,I'm a fanatic,I just want to feel the setting. If there any unforeseen interruptions I rewind at least 10 sec. back on the DVR...

i am soooooooo pissed when for some reason i get interrupted and if for some reason i miss some of the dialogue i could break someone's knee caps!!!
maybe a high ball would help, i notice there is always a bottle of J & B in the background in don's office
i love scotch, i might have to join in!!!

Ok, this is going to sound pitiful, but sometimes I take a power nap if my day has been busy so I can stay awake for 10pm.
There was a post a while ago from someone who suggested the show be on an hour earlier because of the age of most of it's loyal fans. And many still have to get up early Monday am for work. I could live with that.

We over on the LiveJournal Mad Men community set up a comment entry and live blog our reactions. It can be really neat going back and reading our reactions to big events, such as when we discovered the fate of Peggy's baby.

Sunday night prep for Mad Men...Bathroom check, drinks & smokes...ready...set...action. ABSOLUTELY NO INTERRUPTIONS!!!

I usually have a couple of drinks, bang my mistress, put the kids to bed, write a few creative ideas down on a cocktail napkin -- and fire up the ol' 'Colortini'. Then I sit back and watch the action.

wryter, your good, fire up the colortini, love that Tom Snyder, that was a great show....

I would love to have the show on @ 9PM PST, as I work in hospital administration and I am at work by 4:45 am during the week. So, I wake up at 10, catch the show, and drift back to sleep with the latest "Don and Betty" episode in my mind.

Michael,

Surely your could pirate a DVR from one of the employee's loungs and solve that problem.

You're right about having the show on at 9 p.m. Even though Masterpiece Theatre is on at the same time, it repeats at 11 -- and again on Monday, and again on Saturday...

If you don't mind a little time warp -- an you have 'On Demand', you can watch it anytime you want the next day -- without commercials!

I put on my best chanel suit, feed the guard dogs some steak tartare and yearn for a cheap dalliance.

On MM Sunday nights, I usually put the kids to bed early...I don't care what they do up there as long as they are quiet. I grab three or four dozen oysters and a litre of martinis and turn on the ol' black & white. I usually get about a half an hour into the show before my husband tells me he has to go back into the office at 9:30 at night. It's okay with me, because the air conditioning salesman will be arriving in the morning after the kids go to school.

I have the butler make a pitcher of martunis and the maid roll a couple a doobs. Then we change into our 60's lounging attire, leaf through 60's Life magazines and put some Sinatra on our vintage console stereo. Phone calls are allowed until showtime, but only on our turquoise Princess rotary dial phone that lights up when you lift the receiver.

Re: C. Kopoukos post (s)
Your video was great!! I must be psychic (or psychotic) as I did not see the video until after the entry.
I don't think many liked tonight's action-packed epsisode judging from what I've read.
Gotta go...1 minute till showtime!
