I think you're giving Trudy a paper thin character here. She deserves much better.

And Pete bitter, fat and balding at 35??? Not a chance. He'll be in excellent shape after hunting for his dinner year after year.

I wondered if Peggy would tell Pete about the baby, and he would tell Trudy, who after a near nervous breakdown, would raise the baby as their own. It reminds me of the story line in "The Man in The Grey Flannel Suit".
Or, Peggy is waiting for just the right devious moment to break the news to Pete...hmmmm
to use it for her benefit.

Poor old Trudy is right...I have always felt sorry for her. She can't help she fell for weasely old Pete...land now she can't get PG. I keep feeling like someway or other the beans will get spilled about Pete being the father of Peggy's baby and there will be a messy situation of Trudy and Pete trying to take him away from Peggy (her mother/sister, rather) That would be juicy, huh?
