Don's Manner
At the dinner with with the Schillings and Jimmy, did anyone notice Don's manners? When Bobbie got up to go to the ladies room, both Jimmy and Mr. Schilling stood up and Don did not. It was a form of respect for the men to stand up when a woman got up to leave the table. Bobbie noticed that Don refused to stand up for her and II wonder if that was the motivation for her to blackmail Don for the apology from Jimmy? After Don asserted his power over Bobbie in the lobby, Don stood up when Bobbie returned to the table. Thoughts on Don's lapse in manners anyone?

I think it was Don's way of saying, "She's no lady."
I agree with Nancy, luvmadmen. It wasn't a lapse, it was a pointed, intentional message of "you're not a lady". Don knows how to behave correctly.
In that time, it would've been inexcusable and noticed. Am surprised Betty didn't poke him or look at Don with an "expression". Now, I don't even think that happens (standing up when a woman gets up/sits down at a table) anymore. Heck, having the door held open would be pleasure.
Mybe he had a..umm..well..you know.
