Betty's diet
I want to be on the Betty and Don diet. They never eat. Just alcohol, cigarettes and coffee, in no particular order. Seems to work though.

Hi KK! Well, I've seen Don eat a year's worth of oysters in one episode, Betty eats salad when there is not enough steak for Roger.
I agree, the primary food groups for Betty and Don are alcohol, coffee, and cigs., but, they are beautiful people, in a Barbie and Ken way...
That's it, it's the Barbie and Ken diet!!
Maybe that's why Americans are so fat these days-all this healthy living. I know back in the day booze, cigs and coffee kept me thinner than all the whole wheat and fruit you can throw at me today.
I believe Betty cooked a pot roast once!
She had decided to go back to work as a model (for Coca Cola) but was let go after one shoot. When Don got home that night, she was in the kitchen cutting the ties on the roast.
She told Don she had decided she didn't want to go back to work after all. Don, knowing she had been fired because he had not accepted the offer of a job at another agency, in one of his rare moments of tenderness, hugged Betty and told her what a wonderful, caring mother she was and that was what mattered to him.
Amazing how this has all changed in Season 2.
Turtle, that's hilarious! I think we need to re-think the diet of the 60's. I go out for my birthday and have a steak, potato w/butter, a slice of cheesecake and wash it all down with a mixed drink and I feel I've had my quota for the year. My parents would do that three or four times a week and it was considered a well balanced meal. They were skinny as a rail in those days. Are we missing something here? :o/
