What year are we in?
A newspaper article I recently read stated Season 1 ended in November 1960 and Season 2 started Valentine's Day 1962; is this true? Are they really skipping 1961? Or is this merely a typo?

Yes, they've fast-forwarded to 1962. I suppose this gap is meant to illustrate how the characters have weathered everything that happened 15 months ago.
Thanks. I actually talked to a friend about it last night and he guessed that they want to get through ALL of the 60s but are realistic in guessing that, good as it is, it probably won't go on for ten seasons.
anyway, all cleared up! predicting season two will end with JFK's assassination.
I don't think the JFK assassination will be until another season - maybe Season 3 finale. I think season 2 might use Marilyn Monroe's death as a season finale.
Marilyn Monroe's death was August 1962. The next major news event -if they don't skip it- should be the Cuban missile crisis.
