John Hamm is much, much, much better looking than Rod Serling. Serling was a genious, though. January Jones certainly is beautiful, but not a better actress than Angie Dickenson.

I am merely expressing how I feel ... his whole demeanour just reminds me of that era when rod serling used to do his commentary with his calm low key voice and of course smoke ... it just brings that back for me and I think if you saw very early pictures of angie dickinson you would see what I mean but it is just a similarity it is what I love about mad men it really captures that time the only difference is it is in colour lol ... imagine if they did the series in black and white and I wonder if they ever considered that

Even though Betty's hairstyle reminded me of Grace Kelly, her face reminds me of a young Lana Turner from the era of "The Postman Always Rings Twice".

Jon Hamm embodies alot of fleeting elements of other leading men of yesteryear, but I can't honestly say he reminds me of one specific actor.

I think his qualities (acting, looks, physical actions, voice) will end up giving him a "stand alone" essence among past and current leading men.

I think he brings back the memory of watching rod serling on the twilight zone and that is why it reminds me of him and the combed back hair certainly does ... I have watched other movies and shows set in this time but madmen sure strikes a chord like no other

I never met a creative director so lacking in personality.
PLEASE - a creative director should be "creative."
I am from the era and in the business then.
A person who is hiding their true identity would be very creative.
