Mad Men Has a Fan in the White House; Jon Hamm Nabs W Magazine Cover

With Mad Men anticipation reaching fever pitch, it's hard to keep up with all the press. That's why we do it for you! Read below to find interviews with Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks, and learn who's watching Mad Men in the Oval Office.

Mad Men is featured on the cover of TV Guide, in which Matthew Weiner reveals that President Obama is a fan of the show and once sent him a letter of appreciation. "He wrote to say he enjoyed Season 3," Weiner said. "He was congratulating me on my and the show's success, and I wanted to say, 'But wait, you're the successful person." The new issue of W magazine includes a cover story on Jon Hamm. He discusses his upcoming movie The Town, directed by Ben Affleck, as well as his acting roots. "I played Winnie the Pooh in first grade," he reminisces. The New York Post (no link) and The Boston Globe previewed the W cover.

USA Today photographed Hamm at the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, where he played alongside comedian Andy Richter. When asked by Access Hollywood (no link) which Emmy he'd like to win more (he was also nominated for 30 Rock), he said, "My allegiance definitely runs towards Mad Men."
