Series Creator Matthew Weiner Not Bored; Mad Men Nabs a GLAAD Nomination
The Globes are this weekend which means that outlets all over are gazing into their crystal balls. Read on to find out who thinks Mad Men will win for Best Drama, and just what Matthew Weiner was doing deep in the heart of Texas.
• EW's Ken Tucker puts together his Golden Globe predictions, believing that Mad Men and January Jones will be taking home statues come Sunday night.
• The Fort Worth Star-Telegram also puts its money on Mad Men, as does Zap2it.
• The Dallas Morning News has a profile of Matthew Weiner, who was in town to appear at an American Advertising Federation event in Fort Worth. Says Weiner about the show: "I just decided that we would start over every year, and now we're going into the fourth season, and I'm not even close to bored." Phew!
• Pegasus News has the local lowdown on what he discussed.
• The Fort Worth Star-Telegram chimes in with a Q&A with Weiner, and asks him if we can expect references to the Beatles in Season 4.
• The GLAAD nominations were handed out this week, and Mad Men landed a nomination, along with Fox's Glee and ABC's Modern Family. See the full list of nominees here. The story was covered in Entertainment Weekly and USA Today among other outlets.
• The LA Times takes a look at the appeal of "auteur-led" shows, including Mad Men: "When filtered through one key figure behind the scenes, a fuller storytelling experience can emerge," says the paper.
• This month's Style Profile on Wonderwall is... January Jones.
• Buzz Sugar has an interview with Alison Brie (Trudy Campbell) who also stars on NBC's Community
• And finally, E! Online is conducting a poll as to whether Jon Hamm's offseason beard should stay or go.

Glad Matthew is not bored....neither are we!
Also, Jon Hamm looks good no matter what (off-season beard)....but, I will say that it's a shame to cover up all that gorgeousness.....JMO
Thanks for all the good reading, Lily....
How could MW be bored with perfection? He has the option, as supreme commander, to just start all over again as he did at the end of season 3. He knows what he is doing, and did not get where he is by luck or chance.
Right you are, kathie....the man most assuredly knows what he's doing....
I just love the way he throws in all the surprises....sudden turns of events we never see coming....keeps it all so spellbinding, no?
Just as in "real" life (as Mama Gump said ~~ "Life is like a box of chocolates ...."you never know what you're gonna get") ..... !!!!!!!
