Michael C. Hall was rewarded for a decent but not Globe worthy performance, and he should have had the guts to admit it on stage!

Yep, robbed again, kathie! But, I do love to see the entire cast go on stage to receive that biggie "Best Drama" award! Kinda weird the way folks had to go up beside the stage and come out from behind like they did to receive their GG. Also, seems everyone who got an award was way out in the cheap seats....I saw George Lucas right up front and center....

I was clicking over during commercials to the premeire of "24" (DVR-ing it while I watched the GG's) and saw Jennifer Westfeldt on it....

Okay, so look....it's just a matter of familiarity that John Hamm was robbed again. The plain fact is that people don't know him from anything prior to MM. It's not amazing to me that Hamm didn't win the Golden Globe. Au contraire! It's amazing to me that John Hamm hasn't been seen very much PRIOR to MM. This guy is an amazing actor. He changes his demeanor in a second (well...apparently, even though we don't know what sequence they shoot in, so we can't know that aspect of his talents). He can be cold, dominant and calculating in one scene, 007-cool in another, and totally vulnerable and foolish in yet another. In the flashback Korea scenes, when he reports for duty just before his identity switch, he plays herky-jerky and almost adolescent-like. You instantly believe this guy, and he's simply a HUGE talent. If he has a good agent, we'll see John Hamm win plenty of awards along the way.

But here's a more realistic take--you like him, I like him, who cares about these silly-ass awards anyway? Hollywood is one big mutual admiration society. How many myriad award shows do we have to endure on TV? I wonder if carpenters, teachers and department store employees hold award ceremonies to tell each other how awesome they are?

The scene where JH fumbles his cigarette after having to spill his guts to Betty is just about the best single scene in acting history....such a talent.

Even though one knows his (current) mistress is ~~ or has been ~~ right out in front of his house, waiting in the car, to run off and adulterate with him.....even then.....we feel complete sympathy for the guy.

Now that's convincing acting talent....the total suspension of reality, and all that jazz....

I know he won the year of the strike....but, I want him to win every year!

Keep up the very good written scripts. Here are two proposals: Have Paul Walker play Steven McQueen's role in Bullitt, and Jim Caveziel (currently on "The Prisoner") play Leslie Howards part in the 1934 movie "The Scarlet Pimpernel".

I wanted to add a part or two in regard to Lee Marvins roles in "The Killers" and "Point Blank".

I just do not have an idea of who would play his part.

I think another reason why Jon Hamm did not win and Michael C. Hall did is that Hall made the tabloids with his Cancer diagnosis right before the voting was done.
Also, now Showtime is the new HBO of Hollywood's darlings so the actors on their shows are getting the effusive kudos once reserved for HBO.
Nevermind that the actors on Mad Men are among the best in the business and clearly deserve to be more than nominated. THEY DESERVE TO WIN!
