I live in Long Beach, CA, and have been renting the same house for 25 years because you can't buy even a dumpy old cottage without a truckload of moola, so I think the house is the best gift. I'm puzzled, however, because Don went to San Pedro, not Long Beach, to look up Anna. There is no way he would have detoured to San Pedro from Palm Prings to get to Long Beach.

I like the soup tureen on the Sterno stand that Joan had waiting when Greg got home from joining the Army. She was just the perfect early-60s housewife, living within their means but setting a modern table anyway. My pick is the riding boots that Betty gave Sally because it was a rare loving mother-daughter moment. Sally was completely surprised and Betty showed some warmth and love towards Sally. I only wish we could have seen Sally wearing them while learning to ride.

Tazmania, I think the ones Bobby lost were the Stetsen ones that Hilton gave Don. They were mentioned as having been played with by Bobby in Souvenir, I think.
