January Jones Banters With "Mad Mennies" on Saturday Night Live
If you stayed up late to watch Saturday Night Live this weekend, you got to see January Jones channeling a flatulent Grace Kelly, a heroic Dairy Queen employee and a '50s housewife/hostess among other characters.
Of most interest to Maddicts probably was the opening monologue in which Jones bantered with devoted Mad Men fans -- referred to as "Mad Mennies." One nice touch: The Mad Mennies declared Betty to be their favorite character -- with a dissenting Fred Armisen tossing in, "I like Peggy." (He should. He's married to her!) And who knew the show's theme song had lyrics?
Didn't get a chance to watch? You can watch the entire episode online on Hulu.

the flatulence skit was just dumb and stupid not funny at all
I didn't watch SNL; I stopped watching it a long time ago, back when it was still funny.
As for the character of Betty Draper, January Jones does a good job of portraying her. The character is not my favorite by a long stretch.
I'm glad she got to host though. Mad Men can always use the publicity.
January Jones deserves an Emmy nod for her amazing performance this year.
I don't know where the name Mad Mennies came from. As far as I know, we've been Maddicts since the start.
