What a spectacularly gorgeous bunch!

They are as entertaining as they are beautiful, too!

Bring on August 16......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the things that I love about Mad Men is the attention to the smallest detail in order to totally mesmerize the viewer. That's the secret. From wardrobe, to hair, to set decorating, and even the choice of the cast- from the leads down to the bit parts, nothing appears accidental or left to chance. It is top notch, and it shows. The proof is in the product and in these gorgeous photos. I don't care what Emmy guy says. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and one episode of this classy program is worth a whole season of all the junk and reality shows combined. I just hope the Emmy voters prove him wrong and give the cast, crew and most importantly, Matt Weiner, what they all deserve. Simply the Best!

I love 4 and 6, but 12 is my favorite. Don and Betty Draper, the iconic 60's couple perched on the edge of a world getting ready to go though chaos.
Will they survive the decade intact? Good question, but they are perfectly matched even though it does not appear to be so on the surface.
Both are closet hedonists, both are ruthless in their own right, both love/hate their home lives, both feel they are alone in the world, both desperately fear getting old, both are unfaithful, and appearance is extremely important to both, and the list goes on. They are both beautiful and they know it.
Will they survive the decade? Only Matt Weiner knows for sure.

That pic of Pete in the revolving door (#8?) looks like he could play Dracula perfectly....what a stare!

The guy is a jerk (the character of Pete) but he does have beautiful eyes.

I love that flowered dress on January Jones (the one where she's entering a taxi with Jon Hamm). Reminds me of one my older sister wore back in the early 60s.

I have to say, Christina is looking 100% better in these pictures than she did in Season 2. Her hair is softer and prettier, and the dresses she is wearing are much more flattering. Love the picture of her with all the men in hats staring after her.

I also love Peggy in her little hat and cute ensemble as she emerges from the subway.

All in all, the women seem to be looking their best - guess this is going to be a good season for them. Things do not bode well for the fellas, I'm thinking.

Z ! Been worried about you....glad you're back!

Yes, on another thread I mentioned about that dress of JJ's...my mom had one like it, also....very pretty style that is. Her style is a lot like my mom's was. Your sis must have had a beautiful wardrobe....beautiful styles during that year for sure.

Remember those patchwork leather purses? So nostalgic....

Thanks, SCfan. We've been out of town all week, visiting with some old friends. Sooooo glad to be back. What's that old saying about "east, west, home is best"? The Smoky Mountains of Tennessee are beautiful, but I sure was glad to see Illinois prairie again.

Yes, "Home Sweet Home" is so true.

Those Smoky Mountains are breathtaking, we vacationed in that area many years ago and loved it.

I recall any vacation we've ever taken we appreciated getting back to Oklahoma all the more. Ironic, but traveling makes one appreciate home! (until it's time to unpack/do all the dirty laundry! ha)

I used to do laundry gradually as we went along on vacations when our son was little...you kinda have to when traveling with children it seems.

Anyway, glad you're back...only a couple weeks to go now! Yay!

I had my honeymoon in the Smokies, and it is beautiful there! I just hate all the crowds.

Everybody looks better in these pictures than last years, except Jon Hamm, of course, he'd look good no matter what. Does anyone else think they have a brooding, almost surreal look? Especially the January Jones window shots.

Yes, kathie....they do indeed look surly...like they have a LOT on their minds...maybe everyone's chickens came home to roost all at the same time!

(Oh Lord!)

I notice that Don isn't wearing a wedding ring in these...

I don't usually comment although I do read (stalk) the comments but I had to this time:

The 2nd photo shows the Knickebocker Club in the background. My neighbor and good family friend was the head chef there right around this time period.

Don has never worn a wedding ring, DD. And neither has Roger.
