i love the program. i worked in corporate america during the same time frame (as one of the "girls"). i have fun evaluating the set design looking for reminders of the good ole days, e.g., typewriter covers, early modern furniture, rotary dial phones, ash trays on every desk, et.al. one thing i just noticed on the MadMen home page w/photo of Don Draper standing behind his desk in this office was...... the waste basket.... it's the black reticulated style of "today"; it's too contemporary. my boss had a real wooden waste basket that matched the wood on "his" desk. overall the staff has done a terrific job in recapturing the era. looking forward to august~09, season #3.

SCfan, do you really have to ask? ;o) Of course I got the mug (the lighter would have been my second choice). I get quite a few laughs with the mug. I've only been on the "What You're Saying" once. You're right, they did quote me several times in the same "What You're Saying" post. Good memory. Cheers.

I have been reading this blog and watching MM since the show started, but was nervous about posting.
When I'm feeling down, I read these posts and they make my day.

Hope you enjoy that mug, chatty...like I've posted before...I use mine during the season (of MM) but I'm scared to use it daily because I'd die if it got broken.
