With still another month to go before Emmy nominations are announced, the trades take a look at the different categories and forecast who's favored.

Variety focuses on guest stars who make the job look easy, like Patrick Fischler (Jimmy Barrett) with appearances on Mad Men, Lost and Burn Notice and Anne Dudek (Francine Hanson) who hopscotched around Mad Men, House and Big Love.

• Running down a list of their favorite guest stars of the year, Variety singles out Fischler and Mark Moses (Duck Phillips) for their work on Mad Men. (And Jon Hamm for bringing his comedic chops to 30 Rock.)

The trade takes a look at the race for best drama series, opening with: "Judging by the critical acclaim it received, there was no sophomore slump with AMC's 2008 drama Emmy winner, 'Mad Men.'"

The Hollywood Reporter shines a spotlight on the creative categories. Included in its discussion of effects is Mad Men production designer Dan Bishop. The Reporter also includes Mad Men in its list of shows with nomination potential, pointing out Season 1 garnered six Emmys in craft categories like cinematography and hair styling.

• On Regis and Kelly Live, Regis says he can't wait for the return of Mad Men Season 3. Watch the video of his chat with guest host Megan Mullally here... it comes around the 16:30 mark.

• The Rolling Stone interview with Matt Weiner we mentioned last week, is now online in full.
