This week, the CLIO Awards announced that Mad Men's creator and executive producer Matthew Weiner will receive an honorary award on May 12. The awards recognize creative excellence and innovation in the advertising industry and Weiner will be honored "as one of the most powerful storytellers to ever tackle the rise of advertising in America."

The 50th anniversary CLIO Awards will be held in Las Vegas, from May 12-14. Weiner will accept his Honorary CLIO during the Communications Awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 12th.
