Mad Men Wins Its First Ever Producers Guild Award

jon-hamm-on-bed-325x200.jpgIn its first year as a nominee, Mad Men was recognized last night by the Producers Guild of America, winning the Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award for Best Drama. (Other contenders included Boston Legal, Damages, Dexter and Lost.) Tonight, Mad Men will find itself up against similar competition -- Boston Legal, Dexter, House and The Closer -- for the Screen Actors Guild Award for best ensemble.

Among the night's other big winners were Slumdog Millionaire (best picture), WALL-E (best animated film), 30 Rock (best TV comedy), The Colbert Report (best entertainment/competition program on TV) and John Adams (best miniseries). Also honored for career achievement were producer David Chase, actor Michael Douglas, producer Brian Grazer and director Ron Howard.

i am watching the sag awards as we speak and madmen just won the sag for best ensemble cast !!!!!!!!! liz moss as peggy did not win but i was hoping she would !!!!!!!!!!! congats to madmen for the Producers Guild of America, winning the Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award for Best Drama.
