The article said that "it's understood AMC stepped up to help Lionsgate with financing"...
Thanks AMC....a class act right along with Mr. Weiner.
Thanks! We Maddicts salute you.
Is it July yet????? sigh
Can anyone read the titles of the books on the ledge behind Mr. Weiner?
yeah, z, I was wondering about those too!
They are almost legible but not quite...frustrating.
This show could not continue without Matt. Lionsgate is crazy for not signing him right after season two ended.
One never knows what goes on in these Hollywood business deals...and it is a business, even if it is taking place in Hollywood.
To us it's just wonderful entertainment, but to TPTB in Hollywood it is all about the almighty dollar, unfortunately.
I'm not saying Matt isn't worth every cent he's getting, it's just that, on the other side of the coin, I think the folks who pay it out want to pay as little as possible. That's business, I guess.
Just happy it's over and all sewn up that we get two more years of MM (at least) YAY!
And doesn't the big guy look happy! I share that wonderful smile.........and sooo look forward to the next season. He deserves every cent he makes but I'd like to think he has a loyalty and desire to finish this special 'baby' of his.
It's been a part of his life for a very long time and now it's a part of ours. He's been loyal to it and so have all the fans on this forum. Now, if he's read some of the great ideas posted here over these months.....we'll all have a wonderful season three.
Royalties anyone? You know I'm just kidding but you also know each and every one of us will be watching each show with hawk-eye precision for any hint of an idea one of us had in our multiple discussions in "Talk". And thank heavens we still have our 'Talk' to do it! Bravo and thanks to our webmasters.
Great news! Looking forward to Season 3!
Mad Men coming back with season 3..That is a great news and I watched all of the episodes on CNBC-E of Turkey.....Story, characters (especially leading character) are brilliant.....it will be nice to see Don Draper to be challenged by his staff or new hire executive...One more thing, Don has to continue having affairs with other ladies otherwise it will be boring to see Don turning to be a loyal husband.....
Tee hee
I don't thing Don would have a problem with that s e a n....
Is it July yet? I need my MadMan fix.
Congratulations Mr. Weiner! And kudos to AMC/Lionsgate for staying with the creative helm/originator for the series; it would've been all wrong without MW's input.
i love matt weiner and your perfect bergmanesque style of mad men !!!!!!!!!!! i am sitting on pins and needles waiting for season 3 to air !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I pay for electricity to run my television. I pay for my Direct TVto be installed. I pay for monthly service fees to be able to watch my television.
I understand that your company needs to advertise to get money to operate.
But as of today I can no longer watch AMC due to the video interruptions of pop up advertisements when watching AMC. Your company has gone way beyond the margins of interruptions to the video portion of programming.
My television screen is important to me. I will not tolerate anything on my television screen while I am watching a show. You have more than ample time to show commercials.
This means no pop ups what so ever during the showing of what little there is of a show.
Goodbye.
