Two DGA Nominations for Mad Men

On January 9, the Directors Guild of America announced their nominations for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, Documentaries and Commercials. Mad Men received two nods with Alan Taylor nabbing his second in a row. Taylor was nominated for the episode, "The Mountain King"; he picked up a DGA award last year for the pilot episode, "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes." Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner was nominated for the Season 2 finale "Meditations in an Emergency." It's his first DGA nomination.
The 61st Annual DGA Awards will take place Saturday, January 31. For a full list of nominees, click here.

I especially hope Matthew Weiner wins. He needs more recognition all around.
