Talk Forum - What You're Saying

AMCtv.com awards its Talk forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes like a Mad Men pen or a Mad Men poster (limit one per person).

On and off the series, January Jones has been compared to the late Grace Kelly. Maddict jazzfan brings that discussion to the Talk forum as well. Speaking of Fourteen Hours, Kelly's first film, she says, "I sense some influences of this movie and others on Mad Men," noting in particular that Kelly's character too is "a woman considering divorce."

In a similar vein, Maddict greytone has posted her second "Movie Mad-ness discussion" topic, this time asking fellow fans to weigh in on "The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Loretta Young."

Finally, someone posting under the name of Helen Bishop reminisces about the beauty parlor scene from Season 2. She loves "the pink accents in the salon and the hairdressers in uniform. It truly was a woman's domain, with not a man in sight."
