USA Today Names Mad Men Show of the Year

In its year-end roundup of the hits and misses in the 2008 television season, USA Today named Mad Men as the show of the year. The piece notes that a series like Mad Men could only come to be in today's 1000-channel television age, and refers to the program as "a kind of small gem."
Rounding out USA Today's top 10 are:The Wire (HBO), Lost (ABC), Pushing Daisies (ABC), The Big Bang Theory (CBS), True Blood (HBO), Fringe (Fox), The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS), Dexter (Showtime) and Breaking Bad (AMC).
