Mad Men fans this week were eagerly discussing the return of the all-but-forgotten character Glen Bishop. "I just feel so sorry for him," divayaya69 said. "A child who is forced into an adult role because of a non-nurturing mom...looking for love in alllll the wrong places." And while Schroobs sympathized with Betty ("Stuck between her father and her husband, I think Betty relates more to Glen the child because that is how she is treated."), boop saw parallels between Glen and Don: "Glen looked like a mini Draper," she said. "He told Betty he would take her away, he had money. Sounded like Don to Rachel last season."
Meanwhile fans were wondering if Don's decision to fly to L.A. was the very escape he sought with Rachel. "California is inevitable for Don," said flowerpower. "He can re-invent himself more times than Madonna." Joan Zass agreed: "The Telstar music at the end put together with the morning sunlight traveling over his face and the 'Aha!' look in his eyes made me think it's the dawning of a new day for Don Draper." Rachel, however, didn't think Don was running so much as Betty was pushing: "He was hurt and confused," the post said. "After being pushed away for so long, it seems he is letting the momentum carry him further."
