Joan's inappropriately aggressive fiancee had the Talk forum up in arms this week. "The entire Joan story is killing me," said Gotham Goddess. "I am sad to see her lose her strength and self. It has been a slow decline and I want her to prevail!" A stunned zabadu could only manage, "Poor Joan. I hope she kills him," while Cattychick envisioned a just revenge: "I predict Joan will find it within herself to stand up to the monstrous fiancee," the post began. "Perhaps Roger has friends who will fit this weenie with a pair of cement boots and take him on a tour of the East River."

Meanwhile the forum busied itself discussing Anna Draper and her effect on Don. "Don actually has a female who is a friend in this woman Anna," RobinDee exclaimed. "For the first time in the show, Don actually appears relaxed -- probably because she knows his secret and he can drop his facade." Many commenters saw the relationship between Don and Anna as mirroring that between a mother and son: "Anna is Don's mother for sure," said LinzFizz. "It was very sweet to see that scene where he told her about meeting Betty. It shows that Don was a human being before, now, hopefully with Anna's help, he can be a human being again." Joe had a different interpretation of their relationship: "Lots of comments here about Anna being a mother or sister to Dick," he began. "I think of her more as his conscience."
