Talk Forum - What You're Saying

Throughout Mad Men Season 2, AMCtv.com has awarded Talk forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes like a Mad Men Zippo lighter or a Mad Men poster (limit one per person). Keep commenting, and you may be one of next week's lucky recipients.
Betty's bar-room dalliance was the Number 1 topic of discussion as the second season came to a close. "She had nothing to lose," said GuySmiley. "She knew she was already pregnant by her husband, so if that was a concern before, it wasn't that night. The world very well could have ended. What better chance than to have a jump-off with a very attractive man?" SueFH wondered if there wasn't some ulterior motive behind her actions: "I wonder if she was trying to induce a miscarriage," she said. "She certainly went riding an awful lot after her doctor told her not to." Lilyann, however, thought that Betty's indiscretion was a long time coming: "Why we can't see that a woman is a sexual being who really wants, really loves, the physical act of sex, and maybe doesn't care if it comes wrapped up in pink ribbons? Betty is getting honest, slowly, but surely. And she started the journey with her sexual self."
Meanwhile, fans were pondering Peggy's long-awaited confession to Pete. "Good for her," said RMG. "Father Gill tells Peggy that she needs to reconcile with Him. I believe Peggy does just that: She had two 'hes' to reconcile with." Gren1 pondered Peggy's motivations for the revelation: "Peggy put things to Pete the way she did tonight because she was harboring some resentment towards him, and wanted him to feel a bit of the rejection that she felt from him." Jack Rose, however, disagreed. "Peggy wants to be loved as she is and not as she is perceived to be," the post said. "Pete told Peggy that she's perfect. I think she has grown up and is ready to move on with her life."

What the heck is the deal with only 13 episodes?! We have gone down year after year but even in this day and age, 20 episodes is considered a min....cutting it to only 13 is ridicules! We wait a year to see it and this is all we get? Shame on you MM production staff!
