The Talk forum this week was littered with reactions about trash disposal. Said Femme1, "I was a kid in that era and no one had any compunction about throwing cans or paper out of a car window while driving down the road." Ardilla saw the picnic mess as more than a passing detail: "I thought that the whole point of the picnic scene was to show the perfect American 1962 family and then show how Don ruined it all. Jimmy's later comment ("You're garbage, and you know it") reinforced that concept."

Meanwhile the forum was predicting how -- and if -- Betty would exact revenge upon Don. "I'm not so sure that Betty will have an affair to get revenge," said hanna. Other commenters, however, imagined more exacting paybacks: "Here's what I would do if I were Betty," said Jolie10. "...Shop till I drop."
