Throughout Mad Men Season 2, AMCtv.com will award Talk forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes like a Mad Men hat or a Mad Men poster (limit one per person). Keep commenting on the forum, and you may be one of next week's lucky recipients.

Mad Men's six Emmy wins left commenters ecstatic on the Talk forum. "I was so happy I actually cried," said hammfan73. "Thank God someone, somewhere can recognize excellence at its best." Hammster echoed these sentiments: "Screamed, hollered, jumped up and down with joy for the Mad Men win at the end!! I don't remember the last time I was so excited for a show or the actors to win awards." And while some were disappointed to see Jon Hamm not take home the best-actor Emmy, grinandbearit was quick to point out, "If it couldn't be Jon Hamm, I'm glad it was for Bryan Cranston's outstanding performance on Breaking Bad. Overall, it was a good night for AMC."

Meanwhile, fans reeling from Don and Betty's apparent separation were wondering why Bobbie Barrett would go after Don in the first place. Ritt asked, "What was Bobbie's logic for coming onto him in the car? Just because he was handsome and good-looking? Older than Don by several years, was she still testing her desirability?" MsDMAC thought the answer lay in Bobbie's comments to Don about his reputation: "Bobbie had heard about his prowess in bed, so being the cougar that she is, she just had to have him." Said madmanfan4ever, "Why did Bobbie do it? Because she can! She was a woman who saw what she wanted, took charge and made it happen (bagging the Donster)."

We get schwag? What, when, where, how? Bring it on! What are my choices, and when do I get it?

user-pic

grinandbearit, you'll be getting an e-mail from Clayton (or another of AMC's fine folks) and you should find out in it what prizes you can pick from.
Like the post above says from Clayton Newman...there are caps, posters, etc. They had a mug at one time with the funny "whiskey" quote printed inside...don't know if they still have any left of those, though.

Poor Don. He can't escape memories of Rachel. He treated that Menken's bag of shirts Jane brought him like it was radioactive. And when he and Roger and Freddy were trying to get into the gambling club, it was Rachel's husband's name that popped into his head as a pseudonym ("Tilden Katz--" isn't that the new Mr. Rachel?)

It's not a guilty conscience that doing it, though-- it's yearning. If Rachel had still been around and available when Betty kicked him out, there's no way he'd be at the Roosevelt. He'd be at Rachel's. Like he told Roger, he'd "know what to do."

Hi Susie (if I'm not mistaken, isn't that the name of Ann Sothern's character in the old '50's TV series "Private Secretary" ?) "Yes, Mr. Devery, I'll be right in!"
Welcome to our Merry Band of Mad Men Maniacs: The "Maddicts"!!
