Ha! I loved seeing the gaffer dudes walking around behind the set as John Slattery and Bryan Batt were talking. The setting is supposed to be an office in a Manhattan high rise, but there are those teamster guys, walking around outside the window. Check it at 26 seconds in with Bryan Batt, then again at about the 1:00 minute mark with John Slattery.
I know, I saw that, too!! It would be a hoot to see that during the real show, but, oh, well, I don't want to get anyone fired. I love this show - I am happy for the actors, most of whom I had never heard of before this show. They are all excellent - they bring their characters to life, and you find yourself remembering scenes and going back over their words and expressions to discover hidden meanings.
This show should definitely win the Emmy for Casting.
Without the individual selections made casting each character, the series wouldn't have a chance in the world. Because each casting decision was spot on, we witness an amazing ensemble bring an era to life.
It's wonderful to know the actors are fans of the words, too. Amazing!
While you can probably recite every one of Roger's one-liners (When God closes a door...), how much do you know about John Slattery, the actor delivering those zingers?
