Typo on the picture header: Sunday is September 28th, not 29th.
thanks for catching! Post has been corrected.
Betty finds distraction with Sara Beth CARSON. Could she be any relation to Juanita CARSON, hmmm???
Tilden Katz? What was Rachel's husbands 1st name?
Sept 28th In the next new episode of Mad Men, ? is Sunday the 21st not a new episode ?
Sept., 21st is the Emmys! I really hope Jon Hamm wins!
Note to Hapynzap,
I remember Katz is definately the last name of Rachels husband. Not sure about the first. It must be though, right, or else they all wouldn't have laughed. (Unless I'm missing something...)
It's Tilden Katz - name of Rachel's hubby - but how would the two guys know that?
I wonder if six months leave means Don is out of the house for 6 months? Or Peggy's six months leave?
This photo of Jon Hamm promoting Sunday, Sept 28th episode is sensational. I really miss the Don Draper that fell in love with Rachel. That was the only time I saw him vulnerable -- except for the "Carousel" presentation, when he was both vulnerable and powerful. Wouldn't anyone pitching anything envy that 'takes-your-breath-away' moment? Great compliments to Jon and the writers of that episode. I'll never forget it. Intend to buy the whole series. Hope you don't last decades. You'll cost me a fortune.
The Mad Men website is so complicated to navigate it's like it was designed by a computer geek who programs satellites to talk to one another. Don't you know the demographics of your audience? We're all going to have to hire 12 year olds to write fan mail. (I just did.) And that's pretty embarrassing when you're 62 and you're in love with Jon Hamm. Couldn't you just give Jon an easy-to-follow blog of his own? I like his mystery. He can keep as quiet as he wants. But let us "women of the past" gossip about him. He reminds us of our youth. Aren't you interested in what we have to say about him? I had to give my baby-sitting money to the pre-teen I was watching for helping me write these blogs. So get on it, staff!
I appreciate the fact that MadMen goes deeply into the office atmosphere, It gives a clear eye on what business was like in those times. I hope MadMen win all the Emmys they deserve it. All the actors and actresses are amazing characters and play the parts damn good. What makes this show more juicy is that most of the people are cheating or cheated, and the secrets it gets better and better by the moment. I hope MadMen never leaves and when it does they should have a blow out party and invite all of us bloggers because it would be a blast to have fans and celebrities in one setting. Not the crazy folks though need to have a good criminal background upon entrance!lol
To piggyback and expand on honeysuckle's post, I will say that after having worked in a high-profile, creative field for the last 20 years, I find so much in Mad Men that I can relate to because as far as office politics, secrets, sexism, and cheating are concerned - it all still exists! The milieu of Mad Men transports what is still with us but frames it in a way that makes it art and worthy of attention and introspection. The cast of characters, the costumes, and the era all help achieve this. Today people are not quite as reserved and "mannered" as they were then, so that is part of the appeal, too. I am constantly entranced by this show! It is the best thing going on television!
somewhere in the interviews or newspaper reviews they mention are they really married? reference to Don's fake name??? don't know the law on that
While Mad Men got the well deserved Best Drama Emmy. Although Jon Hamm did not receive his Emmy last night, rest assure this will not be his only nomination.
Did it receive any awards for costume or set designs? I hope so, because there are so many I REMEMBER THAT! moments.
I'm a late MM bloomer and begin watching it one summer evening when I saw a cable commercial about AMC On Demand. I had heard about all the hype and decided to check it out. 13hrs later after watching the entire 1st season in 1 full day I was hooked. I counted the days until the 2nd season began. I haven't felt such refreshing excitement about a show in a very long time. Major Kudos to Mr. Weiner and the entire cast/production team for an amazing show. Oh...I wished Jon Hamm would have won Best Actor, but Best Drama is even better!
Like I said last year about Breaking Bad is true with mad men, its just as addictive as the drugs they make in the RV.
Well deserved awards, but the waiting sucks for us viewers. I NEED A FIX NOW!!!
Im so happy to see what is going to happpen tomorrow. I've been anticipating on it since last Sunday. Love this show, im prepared to eat my popcorn and have my favorite beer heineken in my hand when it comes on!!
Its surprising that when I want a good beer it is heineken and to know that Madmen is advertising it in that time makes me feel like I have the same contemporary style and taste! Rock on Madmen!!
