Talk Forum - What You're Saying
Throughout the run of Mad Men's second season, AMCtv.com will award forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes ranging from Mad Men mugs to Mad Men pens (limit one per person). Keep commenting on the Talk forum, and you may be one of next week's lucky recipients.
Don's explosive return to his philandering ways resulted in both praise and scorn on the Talk forum this week. In a post titled, "He's Baa-ackk!" bocaratonfan wrote, "I knew it! Sad Don has given way to the old, powerful, sharp, naughty and (yes) conflicted Don we knew before...in fact, he seems even more powerful!" The Real Deal, however, was less amused: "I thought that Don was heavy handed in his treatment of the woman in the restaurant," the post said. "He physically assaulted and threatened her! He certainly showed his thuggish side."
Bobbie Barrett's treatment wasn't the only one fans were dissecting -- Don's firing of his secretary Lois caused commotion as well: "I thought Don was pretty gentle, myself, and kept his anger in check," said jamm54, while chesterton wondered what would happen if Lois returned to the switchboard, as Don suggested: "I think Lois could lurk as a future danger -- she listens in on phone calls and could really cause some trouble putting that info in the wrong hands."
Log onto the Talk forum to join in these conversations and to discuss Sunday's all-new episode, or to start a Mad Men topic of your own.
