This show is indeed MAD!!!! Each week I'm spell bound waiting to see what will happen. Lately I've been watching it twice Sunday evenings using closed caption to make sure I get all the dialogue. The writers are brilliant!
As soon as I saw Don and Mrs. Grin & Barrett passing the bottle back and forth I thought about Chapequitick (sp), The stunner was when Don called Peggy to bail him out. I knew he must know about the baby. I like how this show stays so real to the time period. I'm in my 50's and back in the 60's there was no one to protect a patient from having all of her business told to her employer. OUCH! That could be nasty. Women had no rights. My father would collect my mother's paycheck (unbenounced to her) after she worked hard all week because a woman was considered his property, so her check was his check. How F'd up is that?
I love everything about this show. Esp my main man John Slattery. I'm glad he's seen each week this season, even if it is for only a minute or two.
$150.00 was the amount of the fine.

Whoever posts the text on the site ... please learn to SPELL! The text says: "Are you ready to prove that your the biggest Mad Men fan? Put your knowledge of the show to the test..." The first sentence should read: "Are you ready to prove that YOU'RE the biggest Mad Men fan." If you need a refresher on this common homophone, it's part of the 3rd grade lesson plan in many state's public schools. Misspelled words in web text are an insult to the intelligent viewers of this show.

$150 smackers----Love the lingo -- takes me back. This soo reminds me of when I grew up. Matt Weiner and staff really do depict the songs, events, etc. with the times. I can't figure out who the Barrets are. I think they might be Ernie Kovacs and Edie Adams. What does anyone else think?
