The form doesn't work when I go to upload, either in Firefox or Safari. It lets me fill in everything but when I press "Browse" and select my file, it won't show up, and when I click "Submit" it says "please select your video file."
My video is in Quicktime format and works fine, so I'm pretty sure it's just the form.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I got it to work. Had to mail it to myself and upload from a different computer, but I got it done! I can't wait until the voting starts. :]

it says you have to be over the age of 13 to be eligible. :) so, yes if you are sixteen you can enter!

I'm quite sure you need to be 18, the person who posted that is the one who posted this blog so I'm quite sure they work for AMC - and because of the legal documents and such you'd have to sign if you win, you'd need to be 18. It says so in the official rules but yeah . . . I'm not sure it's a bit confusing there with the "check that you are 13" bit.
But I am 18, good thing you don't have to be 21 or I'd be ticked. :p

Hmm, yeah. I e-mailed AMC, hopefully they can give me a definitive answer.

My video was not approved and I have no idea why? I followed all the rules and my video was in the correct format. The e-mail didn't give me any reason for why it was denied. Can someone help me with this?

The Terms and Conditions/rules clearly state in the first paragraph that this contest is only eligible to U.S. residents. I believe you are located in Canada, no? We liked your video but legally we cannot enter it into the contest....

In the rules you state that you want our own interpretation of the scene....in the Don Draper script am I allowed to substitute another word for "Advertising" and not be disqualified? I assure you it appropriate, it refers to another profession. Thank you.

Hi Retro,

Please stick with the script. It's great to hear you want to try something different, but when we say your own interpretation we mean you can change the character's tone, pacing, art direction, set design, choreography, etc.

Don Draper's world is all about advertising, so I think if you changed that particular word that it is no longer really about "Mad Men".

AAACCCCHHHH....what a time for my player to freeze up. Damn! Anyone know how to get a Windows (XP) Media Player unfrozen???? Just shows the opening pic of whoever (of the viewer- sent-in videos for the contest) and then just freezes or goes black screen with no sound! Why now??

If anybody has that problem (my above post) I was able to fix (the player) by reinstalling via the Driver CD for the sound, etc. that came with the computer. Yay. Has nothing to do with the contest, but I just wanted to mention that in case it helps somebody who is in the same boat...players usually go screwy just when you need them the most. BTW, love all these creative, funny and impressive contest entries. There are about 10 entrants who should win...going to be hard to pick just one winner, right gang?

In the past few days there have been several entries on the site that have no video. Just wondering if that is a known issue, and if it is being worked on ; ) Love this show and the contest is definitely a blast!!!
