Finally a confirmation: that's good news. The rumors about the release date were on the net for a couple of days now :-)

Let's see...Sunday, July 27...that's less than two months to go! I guess if we've made it for all these months, 8 more weeks won't be unbearable. I just hope the qualilty has been maintained. Well, good luck everyone in waiting it out, let's hope the wait will be worth it!

Mad Men is one of the BEST shows on television. It is written SO amazingly well. It's mind blowing at times. The actors do such a fantastic job, every episode. It is so refreshing to have "quality" television to watch.

I was so happy when I heard it was coming back for a second season. I just wish the wait wasn't so long. I was hooked from the first episode.

It's like I need a weekly Don Draper fix. I am absolutely smitten. Jon Hamm is FLAWLESS as Don Draper. I was ecstatic when he was recognized as best actor for the Golden Globes. He deserved to win, hands down.

I hope more and more people catch on, and discover what a gem AMC has on it's hands. I also hope this show will be around for many years to come.

Thank you Matthew Weiner!!!!

The headline I read was misleading. Thought it was in concern for Breaking bad. Another day possibly... Cant say I car much for this show.

I don´t care at all for "Breaking Bad" so no offence taken.

I can´t believe we have to wait two more months.
I kind of need my Pete Campbell fix. They left everyone in a low place and Pete even below that so I can´t wait to see his story unfold.
Same with Peggy. And I am really happy to have Roger back!

I was at an LA Times screening for Mad Men last night in Hollywood, which is a promotional event before the Emmys. I met the whole main cast (the only one not there was John Slattery) and chatted with Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss and Matt Weiner. I live in LA and am usually never "starstruck" (in fact, usually quite the opposite!), but I was absolutely thrilled to meet everyone associated with Mad Men!!! They can certainly be proud of their work and deserve all the accolades they will get. Wow! They were so gracious and insightful. We saw clips from last season, but alas, no sneak peaks of Season 2. Now, hopefully, the photos I took of Jon Hamm and I will come out ok...

I love the fact that Mad Men actors look "spot on" to the men and women of the 60's. You look at shows like That 70's show and see the actors "trying" to look the part, but just seem to miss the mark here and there. I love the short haircuts for the men and the beehives and up-dos for the women. Not to mention the fact that some of the characters are a little behind the fashion of the 60's (more like the 50's) and they catch that as well. I can't help but to think the actors are putting their all into making it look and feel real. Actors like Jon Hamm will sacrifice their current hairstyles to make Mad Men really rock! Seeing curvy women like Joan strutting around (Does she wear a body suit?) looking like a red head Marilyn Monroe is what sends us back four decades. Back when a size 14 was something to flaunt and a size 3 was an embarrasement. Casual wear has taken over our society in the couple of decades that it is fun to look back and see men and women dressing up. I would love to see an episode of Mad Men going to Las Vegas and seeing how cool it was to get dressed up for the plane ride or a night out on the town. You know back in the days when men had more white shirts and ties than women had dresses and pumps.

I can't wait! I have told so... many people about this show - no everyone is hooked! I am even producing a company event with a Mad Men theme this summer - SO fun. P.

Yeah, luvmadmen, you made me recall the epi where Joan was all dressed up (when her roomie told her she was smitten)---as she watched her check her hair in the mirror---Joan had on a low cut zinger of a dress and, well, let's just say her attributes were well displayed. She is a womanly woman and I say MUCH more beautiful than the anorexic-looking stars of today! Three cheers for the new "real woman" look--hope it catches on!

I waited until I heard Season 2 was a go before watching Season 1 in its entirety. Am weary of networks that can't commit to quality shows.

"Mad Men" is an instant classic with spot-on writing and acting and sets and costumes - the smoking while cooking and arond kids is brilliant! Great vision brought to life. Favorite scene is the Kodak "Carousel" scene, so well delivered by Jon Hamm.

As a marketing mad man myself, I really dig this show and look forward to the season 2 premier! I'll continue to be a disciple for this clever show. Cheers!

I am also looking forward to the second season, and yes, I agree with madmadison...amc is the new home for quality...keep it coming. Please, no HBO shenanigans (i.e., Deadwood), give us the quality we want....more Madmen, more like Madmen...

Gas in 1962 was 22 cents. How naive we all were...

Food for thought:

It is morally as bad not to care whether a thing is true or not, so long as it makes you feel good,
as it is not to care how you get your money as long as you have got it.

I just accidently (like a lot of people) happened on Mad Men and now I am hooked, but still finding it hard to watch AMC, thinking it is just old movies. I missed the beginning of epi 2 (all three times it played on July 27). I have got to get my scheduling right. Did they mention Peggy's child or is that holding until later?
