Huh? Paul beat out Peggy in round 1?
Paul? Where'd that come from? did he hire his cotierre of fans to vote? just kidding.
My 2nd choice would actually be Sal, I could see him slithering his way up the C-S ranks while no one notices.

i think paul would eat his own child if it meant he would advance in the business! really creepy.

this is a little off the subject, but i am so glad to see quality TV again. i haven't been this excited about a cable show since nero wolfe. does anyone else feel the same way?

thank heavens mad men was renewed for another season - let's hope it stays around for a long time!

I wouldn't believe that MadMen was over...but it was gone... and everything was about the drug scientist...what a nightmare I was having!!
MadMen is so refreshing and so clever that I'm on pins and needles waiting for it to unfold some more.
Fabulous job for the writer, director and the actors. I foresee this beating out Mash, Friends and even the drug scientist. Can't get enough!!!!!! Perfection at its best!!!
Thanks.

Peggy is a fabulous character_so true to life_she will rise by her sheer talent for the business yet continue to be frustrated by being one of the first to challenge the glass ceiling_

can't wait to see season 2

Love the show

Kudos to the entire team responsible for bring Mad Men to life. Finally a show worth watching!

Each week I get to see an interesting storyline with a robust set of characters, each of whom have their own interesting background.

Keep up the good work and continue making your show as interesting as when it began.

Bravo AMC!!!!!!!

Peggy's continued rise would have the added benefit of further torturing Pete. I'd say that's a win-win.

Peggy has what it takes to lead the firm into the 1970s. She won't be wearing hot pants or knickers. Rather, she will be a feminist who sports John Lennon glasses lace-up boots. Using a nom de plume, Peg will pen articles for Cosmopolitan, Ms., and Playgirl magazines. In fact, she'll probably leave the agency to start her own magazine!

Neglected to mention above that once he realizes Peggy has flown past him in the career department, Paul is going to use the rifle he procured at a DEPARTMENT STORE (!) on himself and/or others. This former nice-ish guy is alienating his in-laws, has been rejected by his own family, and now rides in the "I'm gonna snap!" car of the psycho train. It's a weird but likely conclusion.

I love "DickWhitman" too funny!!! I think the show is amazing. As a child of the 60s it's like watching someone's color home movies. There's a mixture of awe and horror, like watching a beautiful train wreck and you just can't take your eyes off it for a second.

That said, Peggy gets my vote over Pete--the little arrogant jerk!

Just to be clear, I love the username DickWhitman, too!! Good choice, wish I'd thought of it...

While I am also in Peggy's corner on this one, I do think that it makes for a really interesting and curvy storyline to have a little neck-and-neck happening. Seems like Pete's implosion is inevitable (along with what was the entire genre of the early 60's). The history that surrounded women like Peggy evolving into feminist jounalists of the 70's stands in drastic contrast to that certain sense of the early-sixtys naivete and sophistication that made that time both captivating and significant . It was the best and worst of times at once.
