Two Golden Globe Nominations
This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association named its nominees for the Golden Globe Awards. Mad Men garnered two nominations: one for Best Series, Drama and another for Best Actor in a TV Drama. For the latter, actor Jon Hamm will find himself in competition with Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Hugh Laurie (House), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors), and Bill Paxton (Big Love). Other contenders for best drama are HBO's Big Love, FX Network's Damages, ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Fox's House, and Showtime's The Tudors.

CONGRATULATIONS! This is wonderful! I was so excited to see Mad Men get the credit it deserves. I guess it now begs the question...will these nominations mean a DVD will be released soon? I hope so!!!
Congratulations! A well-deserved nomination, and I look forward to reading about the victory party....
I'll be watching. I predict wins in both categories!
I am so ready for the second season to start!!!
Fantastic. I believe that this is the best show that this decade has offered the American public thus far (with a nod towards the "Sopranos"). Much deserved nomination, hopefully with many more to come. Anyone no when the next season will appear for us?
There is absolutely no contest here: "Mad Men" is the best series on TV. If "Mad Men" and Jon Hamm don't win the Golden Globe Awards, the whole thing is rigged!
CONGRATULATIONS "Mad Men" and Jon Hamm for two well deserved nominations!
AHHHH! I knew it! Congrats to all of you "Mad Men"!!!
WHOOP! My fave show, getting some recognition!!!!!!!! I have been spreading the word about it in my blog. I love, love love the cast. SAG awards too. :) awesome!
Excellent news! These noms are well deserved, congratulations!
Good Luck! I just love this show, and can't wait for the new season! I hope there were enough episodes for next season "in the can" prior to the writers' strike. Truly, a fabulous show.
Cocktails at staff meetings, endless cigarette smoking, and male office misbehavior--this is how I remember the '60s! Myself and friends from state to state love this show. We are ready for Season Two. Congratulations to the nominees!
I started watching late, but I must admit I am successfully dangling on the side of a cliff. As someone who overanalyzes and deconstructs her television shows, I find much to absorb with this one. Keep me enthralled. It shouldn't be too hard, if the first season was any indication of things to come.
Can't get enough of "Mad Men".... the only show I care to watch and Summer '08 is the start of Season 2 !!!! Being a New Oreanian, I am thrilled to see Bryan Batt in such a juicy role... This is the best thing on TV... Congrats and cheers ... My martini glass is full and toasting such a remarkable cast !! Love that Peggy girl !
A huge congrats on the nominations. I'm a bit disappointed that more of the cast wasn't considered for an award as well. It's is a smashing show. Is summer here yet?
I was looking so forward to seeing Jon Hamm and the creators of this wonderful tv series collecting their Emmys. No contest here, they would have won. Alas, the Emmy's have been cancelled, what a shame. We finally have a QUALITY tv show and we won't see it rewarded. I guess we'll have to wait 'til next year.
Yeah! Jon!! Congratulations on a very well deserved award! Too bad we all couldn't hear your acceptance speech. Hopefully we'll be able to hear Mr. Draper soon.
Yeah! Mr. Weiner! You're the writer - I have no words except Congratulations! Well deserved!
Congratulations to everyone on Mad Men for a fantastic first season and a sweep at the Globes!
Jon Hamm - you made Don Draper come alive, and you deserve your moment in the spotlight tonight. I tip my hat to you.
Remarkable.
It looks like the foreign sale of Mad Men is going to go much better than expected.
Everyone deserves applause.
And I love Elisabeth Moss.
Why of all years do we have to have a strike?!!! Jon Hamm and MADMEN deserved to receive their awards amid all the Hollywood Glam & Glitter. Just to see Jon out-handsome every man there and accept his award with that voice would have been a thrill! What an exceptional show! Congratulations on the wins!
CONGRATS!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!! I'm so glad it's been recognized for its excellence! I'm only sad that the Golden Globes weren't like they usually are to showcase the show's accomplishment. :-(
