New York Proclaims Best TV Show of 2007
Mad Men was named the "Best Television Show" of 2007 in New York Magazine's "Culturati Caucus" after it edged out NBC's 30 Rock and Showtime's Weeds for most votes.
New York describes the "Culturati Caucus" as "our first concerted year-end effort to peer inside the city’s cultural hive-mind: We polled 153 people—actors, musicians, museum directors, even a columnist or two—on what they loved, hated, and avoided in 2007."

Congratulations! It's certainly well deserved.
Any word on when a DVD of the series will be released?
This show was certainly the best of 2007. Is AMC positioning it for relaunch due to the writer's strike? If not, they should be.
Apparently "Time" Magazine feels the same way, having named it the Best New TV Series of 2007:

Congratulations! I usually love what others hate so this is a pleasant surprise...but Mad Men is amazing. It shouldn't surprise me that it's receiving all these accolades.
Who designed the graphics for the beginning of the show? Reminds me of Robert Longo style...
I actually printed out the email I received from AMC announcing all of the awards given to Mad Men so I can post it on my bulletin board. I don't know when I have been so excited about a television show. I am sorry to say that no one else that I know watches it; I am working on my son's girlfriend because although only 24, she is a film student and very interested in drama. I am hoping to entice her to watch when the reruns start again. I have tried so hard to talk several women I work with that are my age to watch it since they were in the work world in the 60's; so far no luck. It is their loss. I watch the reruns and every single time I notice some minor thing that I missed the first two or three times I saw that episode. I love this show.
