The Buzz at "Entertainment Weekly"
For its top 25 stars of the year, Entertainment Weekly spotlighted Mad Men as one of 2007's "most buzzed about" phenomenons: "AMC's drama Mad Men nails every period detail down to the political incorrectness, giving its sardonic wit (a man refers to a woman as a 'piece of fruit that went real bad real fast') a guilty thrill."

Jon Hamm an absolutely brilliant actor. He has such style and control. The December 20 episode was incredible. He deserves an award for this episode.
I was a young secretary in 1960. This program captures this time period and the business world with such accuracy -- the clothes, the music, the smoking and the alcohol consumption on the job, the behavior of these people and even the Time/Life book that Mrs. Draper was reading in a past episode -- all of this is absolutely authentic. Women dressed in their very best clothes for work, were relegated to lower status and pay, were not given much credit for what they did and they accepted it. We just so glad to have a job.
Thanks for this trip to the past.
