AMC Renews Mad Men For a Second Season
AMC announced today that it will renew Mad Men for a second season. The second season will consist of 13 episodes beginning in the summer of 2008. The Season One finale will air on Thursday, October 18th at 10PM | 9C.
"AMC's first foray into original scripted series has been a success right out of the gate" said Rob Sorcher, Executive Vice President programming and production for AMC. "We're grateful that our quality-driven programming instincts connected with a passionate fan base, and we're looking forward to an exciting second season which will continue to spark broader cultural conversation. Mad Men clearly fulfills AMC new promise to be The Future of Classic."

Well it is a good thing that they did or there just might have been a revolution going on. Now give Midge, (Rosemarie DeWitt) more airtime please, and show the shows as they are listed without repeats
I read the news yesterday at IGN & was very glad that you guys get a second season. A show like Mad Men only comes around once in a blue moon. 8-)
I am thrilled. I am applauding (and typing at the same time!) I don't ever remember a show that feels anything like this... it has a dreamy quality, and the writing is so deliberate, it is like watching a play or reading a short story.
And it's a fascinating collection of actors... in addition to great leads, the guys that work in the office are such a real feeling group, and every woman in the show just. rocks. hard.
Whooh hooh!
Bravo ...
More Christina Hendricks!
I am sooo happy the series will be back next year! I love mysteries and surprises. Love the characters! Just one thing- I would like to see more period sets.
Excellent! Fast forward! I wanna see Roger's daughter go nuts over the Beatles and piss him off...then I wanna see Joan go nuts over the Beatles and turn Roger(and me) on.
So glad to hear there is going to be a 2nd season. Of course there was never any doubt in my mind. This show rocks!!!!
Thrilled with the news of the second season; I wonder if the Powers that Be will look at any of these blogs and take our suggestions under consideration for Season Two. Don't see how it could be any more perfect than it already is, but you never know!!!
Awesome news! As long as the high caliber of writing keeps up and they retain this excellent cast, I don't care what happens in the next season! :)
Now I can't wait for 1962! With JFK and Jackie in the White House, things should be very different at Sterling Cooper.
This is one of the truly great television series. I am thrilled it has been renewed for another season, but just sorry that I will have to wait until next year to continue the show!
Seriously, AMC you deserve kudos for such an outstanding drama. Keep up the good work.
I have never in my life watched a tv series until this one! Mad Men is the most awesome, creative and well written show that is beyond it's years! I'm so very happy that it was decided to have season 2 come to life. I will be waiting anxiously for it!
Period... the best show on TV
more midge. more joan. more the other junior ad execs. and how some art department stories!?
Madmen is the best show ever produced. I used to think Deadwood was. I was wrong.
Thanks a million for renewing Mad Men --one of the best shows I've seen in ages. As one who began working in 1960 or so, it really resonates! Janet
Oh please do bring back Midge, otherwise; in what other scenario could we possibly catch Don toking on a joint again? It's good for him to chill every so often. The last time he smoked, he was actually trying to help his son out. It gives him a perceptive view of his past and future. He's too uptight and he needs to be more honest w/his wife that's why she's such a flake.
I clearly agree with all of you. This show is the best new thing that hit tv --among other new tv shows. I deliciously watched every detail of this show. and I'm so overwhelmedof the fact that we'll have to wait a year. i hope the feeling for this show is strong in the air....till it comes back.
Glad to hear the show is being renewed, as if there was doubt. I hope Peggy takes that pony tail down and tries to look a little more like an adult woman next season.
We just posted an annotated map of New York City as seen in 'Mad Men' (though the first nine episodes at least). Check it out:
http://tinyurl.com/2rodla
I've spread the word to all my friends: this is the hottest show going! Jon Hamm is absolutely riveting. The rest of the actors are also tremendously talented. Can't wait another year season 2. Ugh!
Yay! Mad Men is my favorite show. It just feels so real, no sugarcoating. What a great reminder for working women of my generation (early 30s) what our predecessors had to deal with. There's only one problem -- by the end of every episode, my boyfriend is feemin' for a cigarette! Looking forward to the next episode and the next season.
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
Thrilled to see this show continue.
We need to see this kind of TV and am glad AMC has renewed.
Yes Indeed. Very well done. Now then, where is the DVD? That's what I want to know. And if by some strange chance you should make the mistake of ever canceling this awsome show- please have the decentcy to have an ending in place-as opposed to just quiting the series. Just a thought. Thanks.
Excellent show. Thanks for the Second Season.
Congratulations to Mathew Weiner, the outstanding actors and writers of Mad Men on the second season. You have made being out of work this Summer a little more bearable. At least I could look forward to Thursday nights. Any advertiser who supports this program will have a lot of brand loyalty. Cheers!
Great news. But AMC isn't promoting this show enough. I haven't seen any of the cast doing promos on late night talk or anything. Has anybody seen these folks promoting the show. AMC has the resources to get the word out. Plus they are messing with the schedule of episodes. Not good. Next season should be somethingto look forward to tho.
For chris m:
Loved the map with the Mad Men locales--how about the first scene in Episode Two where Roger and Mona have dinner with Don and Betty at Toots Schoor's (sp?); afterward on the drive home Don mentioned to Betty that maybe the next step will be the Four Seasons! Also, didn't that big advertising honcho want to meet with Don at the Algonquin Hotel to discuss leaving Sterling Cooper but Don declined--can't think of any more right now. I wonder if Sterling Cooper had any season box seats at Yankee Stadium??
Season 2...thank you AMC. Please release the dvd as soon as possible. Then I can send out some copies to friends who are yet to experience Mad Men. The more converts to the cause, the greater chance of Season 3.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited. I'm under 30 and this is by far one of the best TV shows I've seen on TV. The writing is superb, the cast..magical!
I agree with some of the posters above in that...why is there a lack of marketing for the show? I don't see any of the cast members on late-night, no interviews, etc.
And PLEASE after each episode if the next one will not be the following week...let us know. I was baffled when I sat down to watch the next episode this past Thursday (Sept. 20) and saw a re-run!
Don't let us down :) Keep up the excellent work.
I am all at once thrilled and dejected that we have been gifted with a continuation of the series, but have to wait almost a year to get it! That's like buying a new Gameboy for your nine year old and putting it up high on the shelf where he can't reach it but can only long for it! So unfair!
I normally don't watch TV too much, but have watched a few of the new fall network offerings. I found myself unimpressed even with the most critically revered, as I held them up to the standard of MadMen. This show is so much better than anything else on TV. AMC, please invest in promoting this superior show -- there's no good reason why it shouldn't be consistantly winning its timeslot.
The best show on TV!
It is compelling, and so entertaining. One hour goes by so fast...
Get the audience numbers up - MORE CHRISTINA HENDRICKS .
Awesome news. I hope I don't forget about it next summer!
NOTE TO "PASSIONATE FAN BASE" (That is what an AMC VP has called us)
RE: LONE TWISTER & MR. PINK - LACK OF PROMO BY THE MEDIA
I am also puzzled by the lack of attention MADMEN is getting from TV and newspaper. I saw Jon Hamm on Jimmy Kimmel. (I have never watched Kimmel before, made a special point of watching just to see Hamm). I can't believe this is the only notice this show has been given, but is the only one I have heard of.
It is of course up to AMC to promote its shows, but if every poster on this site were to email or call some of the TV & radio talk show programing and express interest in MadMen and its actors, maybe they would take notice. I don't watch TV very much but I think OPRAH and THE VIEW must have lots of daytime viewers and of course there is LETTERMAN and JAY LENO. I have seen only one or two small mentions in the newspaper.
The promos that got my attention and the reason I watched the show in the first place was the emphasis on the fact that it took place in the '60s and talked about the fashions and the decor.
I am sure that there are a great many viewers who would not have an interest in that limited subject.
I expected little more than to be taken back to the time when we purchased our first home and furnished it in what has become known as "MidCenturyModern". And to see again women encased in the torturous undergarments that we were forced to endure. (No pantyhose then)
I certianly did not expect that I would be brought back to all of the social undercurrents that were swirling in the background of our tightly scripted lives.
Well anyway that is what I am going to do now and, if next summer it isn't getting much notice I will do it again.
Outstanding! As a History major, I am very excited to see how the characters will deal with certain national and worldly events. Please keep up this groundbreaking and wonderful work!
Yeah, Baby! Swinging news! (in my 'Austin Powers' voice)
LOL!
And even better news is I just checked Comcast sched in the paper, on TV guide, the net, and weekly TV guide. Long weekend is scheduled to show in Ma and if it doesn't Mad Men has just lost a viewer. This show is as fantastic as the Sopranos were but doesn't coats extra to get
I agree with all those who are enthusiastically calling for more AMC support for this program. I remember how "American Dreams" was pretty much discarded by NBC a few years ago, moved around on its schedule until even loyal viewers couldn't find it and a perfunctory inconclusive ending written for the final episode, which wasn't even called a final episode! I'd hate to see this happen with Mad Men; it has the potential to be one of the most popular (already one of the most critically acclaimed) series ever, if AMC handles it like the treasure it is!
Fabulous news that Mad Men has been renewed. Unfortunately, we fans will have to wait far too long for season two. As a woman who entered the work world in the early 1960s, this show resonates very, very strongly with me. As I watched the first episode I said, "Now I remember why I didn't want to get married back then." I am fascinated by the amazing attention to detail in sets, costumes, props, etc.
Yippee! Just wish we didn't have to wait a whole year for more Mad Men. I'll bet HBO is kicking themselves silly for passing on this great show -- the best thing to happen to TV since The Sopranos.
And as for promo -- just wait 'til Mad Men sweeps the next Emmy Awards. It has zero competition on any broadcast or cable network.
A thousand thanks to Matthew Weiner and AMC for bringing us this great, innovative, creative series.
How incredible is this show? I can't wait for every episode and watch it at least twice to catch everything. Betty rocks! So naive yet crazy and tough. I'm in love with the clothes and the period sets. I want more pyrex and pregnant ladies drinking. The sexism is so twisted! The cast has such chemistry, it's sooooo hot! Men in suits and hats, women in shiny clothes. You don't need skin to sell!
I stumbled across this show via Comcast on demand... outstanding show! Nice job AMC; investing in something fresh and new. It is the one show that I look forward to watching. Make sure you release season 1 on DVD... Betty shooting pigeons; what a show!
Thrilled there will be a 2nd season! Great show. I never really followed a show everyweek before this one. I just love it. Thank you AMC.
Mad Men is a gem -- every aspect of the series is outstanding. Thank you!
I love this show... and I can't even relate to the times, I was born in '84. I started watching this show because a buddy of mine is going into advertising, and from hanging out with him I started critiquing ads as well. Then this show appeared and I became hooked, but not because of the advertising component, but actually more because of the characters and dialogue.
Like one of the previous comments noted though, watching this show makes me want to smoke and drink! Tobacco companies should be paying AMC if they aren't already.
Thank goodness! This is the best show in the last 15 years!! Wha-whooooo!!
THANK GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I WOULD HAVE TO JUMP UNDER THE TRACTOR IF I DID NOT GET MY WEEKLY DOSE OF "MAD MEN"!!!!!!! I WORKED ON MADISON AVE. FOR MERRILL LYNCH, PIERCE FENNER AND SMITH IN THE 60'S..........DOES THIS BRING ME BACK TO THE GREAT TIMES WE ALL HAD AT "THE GOVENOR" AND "LECHAMPS"!!!! I NOW LIVE IN A FARMING COMMUNITY SO THIS MAKES ME RE-LIVE MY YOUTH!!! I LUUUUUUUV THIS SHOW!!~!~ AND YOU BETTER GET SOME BIGGG AWARDS NEXT YEAR OR I WILL KNOW THE EMMYS ARE FIXED!!!
I love this show and I hope AMC promotes it more.
Just read all the comments and agree that AMC better get going with some great ads.........even though I could be very selfish and want MM all to myself!! Also, do you think AMC could consider airing it at 9pm?? This way we can all watch it three times!!!! (My eyes are falling out of my head by 11:00pm but I won't give in to sleep! Please more MM "spots" on AMC's commercial breaks!! Lets all make sure the Emmy exec.'s are listening! Gotta go...only a little over two hrs. till show time! (I want to see Peggy announce that she is preggi....ohhhh boy!!!)
Hey!! I'm the 7:43pm comment! Not Carol!!
Great great show -- it has all the makings of a classic series. Covers a time in America that doesn't get much reflection, but it's impossible to believe how far we've come as a society in just 2 generations. It also brings up such great memories from us 40 somethings -- from no-seatbelts to playing with plastic bags over our heads. Bravo, AMC!!!
I liked the Soprano's but I LOVE Mad Men! I am not a big TV watcher, but this show has me hooked! One of the best shows on the Tube in many years! I tell all my friends about it!
Bravo, AMC! Terrific move!
Finally some quality TV
I am so excited about the 2nd season. I hope to see Betty more and have her put Don in his place. Give her a modeling job too, she deserves it.
Madmen is one of the best shows I've ever seen. The attention to detail borders on the incredible. I just wish someone would wipe that smirk from Paul Kinsey's face. That character has got to be one the most loathsome idiots ever conceived.
Meant to write Pete's character is loathsome.
There's one thing that separates Mad Men from all other television shows.
It's toasted.
Great news that season two is on the horizon, although it's a far horizon. Summer of 08 is too long to wait.
At last, a television show worth watching every week. It's the first since Seinfeld that I truly look forward to seeing.
Come on, Seinfeld was good but it can't compare to MadMen. The cast of Seinfeld was, as we all were in our twenties, too self absorbed. The cast of MadMen takes us outside of ourselves. We aren't seeing us in a series with all of our foibles. We're seeing people who shine brighter than we do- either by being worse than we are or better than we are. That's what makes this so interesting. We don't know what they will do.
Congratulations on a second season. This show is great. A couple of weeks ago I watched a classic movie produced about 1960 - Butterfield 8 - and was amazed to see all the cigarette smoking, drinking and sex...just like Mad Men. You guys have captured the era of 1960 perfectly.
Fantastic news! This is the best show on TV. Nice to see quality entertainment, great writing and superb acting rewarded with a renewal!
Fantastic news! This is the best show on TV. Nice to see quality entertainment, great writing and superb acting rewarded with a renewal!
brilliant, sexy show show. period. my replacement for the Sopranos.
Why don't more people know about this amazing show? On the one hand I feel like shouting "Mad Men!" from the rooftops, and on the other I feel like keeping this gem a secret all to myself, neatly tucked away in a cigar box that smells of moth balls, beneath my bed, with my Nana's costume jewelry.
Great show !! It reminds me so much of when I was working in the Sales Dep't. of a major U.S. air carrier in the 60's. It was the best of times.
Small technical comment - what was up with the scene with Betty complaining about her father's girlfriend - at the end of the scene in the bedroom, you can see Betty's reflection blowing smoke out of her mouth while she is not doing anything. Glitch?
Do we know for sure that the second season will advance the time period by two years...or is that an Internet myth? I have not seen it anywhere but in these blogs.
Congrats on a second season. At first, part of me felt the show was set 47 years ago as an excuse for men to get away with smoking, drinking and hitting on women in the office because they know they could never get away with that today. But what confirmed for me that "Mad Men" is special was the episode where Betty, rejected in her attempt to renew her modeling career, takes the BB gun out and starts shooting at the neighbor's pigeons. This show has an attitude! So, to take it up a notch next season, are you going to have children smoke, or adults smoke while sleeping? ;)
Jon Hamm is nowhere to be found and he needs to be EVERYWHERE! The show needs more promo and Jon's the man!
Great!
I have never been so enthralled by a TV show. It resonants on so many dimensions. If you writers out there read this here is a suggestion --- please put some more aspects of the advertising business (like in episode 1) in the scripts. I'm a professor of advertising and I showed clips from episode 1 to illustrate the creative process and the Unique Selling Proposition (it's toasted!).
I agree they need to promote the show more...many of my co-workers have never even heard of it...I'm cynical..I think it's because all the talk shows are owned by the big three networks and the big picture studios...The Today Show especially has become like listening to the hucksters on the Jersey Shore with all their parading of movies and shows "owned by our parent company"!!!
I'm glad that the network is bringing Mad Men back for another season.
There are so many things that shaped the 60's to explore.
Birth control pills free women from the fear of getting pregnant, thus laying the ground swell that will lead to the "women's lib" movement.
The revolutionary "beat nik" generation will start to question the status quo, with the writings of authors like Hunter Thompson, and the folk music scene will foster in the age of Bob Dylan.
The era of the arms race between the US and Russia will slowly melt away from its political clout and be replaced by the war in Viet Nam, thus bringing the anti-war movement.
The equal rights movement will bring historic changes with Rosa Parks, and fuel the fire for even more political unrest.
The Mad Men will struggle with the changes in their perspective jobs that have until now given them distinct lines to "color in", and they themselves will be influenced by the changes of the social norms in their personal life as well.
I love this show and try to tell my friends about it, because too often a great series like this doesn't get enough attention from the usual "TV Guide" audience.
I'm so happy to hear MM is on for a second season. Such good writing, bring it on! I love the chemistry between Don and Rachael. I wish they could have met before Don was married. He and Betty don't seem to have a lot in common except that they are both beautiful.
This show is surreal and provocative. Truthfully seductive. I hope it continues for many seasons to come. Couldn't ask for a better cast!!!!
I wish the episodes were posted on this site. I love the show, but not enough to give itunes $2 for everyone I missed....this sucks!!!
I don't know how many comments the producers read, but I for one would buy a fully loaded dvd of this season in a heartbeat - and I hope it will include deleted scenes and much more in-depth commentary and features than were found in the behind the scenes clips on the website. The show itself is addictive and has more depth and layers than I've ever seen on tv, and I'd love a dvd with features that met the same description. Lots of material from Matthew Weiner about his vision and inspiration for the show. Interviews with the show's advisors or people who actually worked on Mad. Ave. at that time would be far more interesting than an actor saying "People were smoking and drinking all the time!" or "Things were rilly different for women back then!" Yeah, thanks, history boy.
This is one of the most boring shows on TV.
Another season of this drivel will definitely deep six it next season!
I love love love this show! Sincere congrats on Season 2! Can't wait to see more of Pete's homelife and how it's different (or similar) to Don's. I love his adorable wife Trudy - I hope he doesn't dump her for the secretary!

I AM SO HAPPY AND I LOVE THIS SHOW. This is such a refreshing change from the same old, same old soap operas. The acting is outstanding and the story lines riveting. I hope it lasts season after season! Too the skeptics, the show is too deep for you to follow. Stick to Desperate Housewives, Showtunes and Grey's Anatomy. Truly artistic, way to go AMC.
Thank you for renewing!!!
Thank you for renewing!!!
Wow! I just found this blog, Mad me3n is simply the best and most underrated show on TV by far. KUDOSA to AMC and the producers and writers. I never thought Wiener could top the Sopranos but he did. This is ART!
I see a network buying this series... Its too good and underpublicized
Fabulous!
Fabulous!
Great news. How about at some point next season having Bertram Cooper get tickets for the office for "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and no one wants to go?
I love this show. It really reminds me a lot of the time I grew up in. The fashions are gorgeous and my girls loves that period. I hope it comes out on DVD becuase I will buy it!
This is one of the best shows on TV!
this is the best news my husband and i have heard. we absolutely love this show. i agree that there isn't enough publicity about this show. they need to advertise it on other channels, and maybe do a special on an entertaining tv channel, or entertainment tonight, or something so that other people can know. the sopranos was so well advertised that even those who didn't watch it new aboutit, but nobody i've talked to has ever heard of this show. we absolutely love it. the characters, everything. please keep it going, and going and going. and thank you for putting it on a non-pay-cable channel.
This is simply one of the most intellectually stimulating shows ever aired on the "vast wasteland" of television. If I had any criticism, it would be directed towards the programing schedule: PLEASE AMC, aire repeats of each show at a reasonable hour of the evening; for those of us who refuse to buy a DVR to record shows we might miss on Thursdays, I think it is unreasonable to require your loyal viewers to stay up until 2 A.M. on Monday or Thursday mornings just to "catch-up."
Nonetheless, I am grateful you do repeat the shows.
I'm so glad this show is being renewed! I look forward to watching every week. Favorite show on television!!!!!
I can't believe 13 episodes = 1 season and I have to wait until SUMMER 2008 for Season 2! Sigh! Hope this will be on DVD by Xmas time.
I am so glad MM has been renewed. I really hope that Don's character remains a mystery - it's what makes him so watchable. I hope he never gets exposed for whoever he really is; his made-up persona is whatever he wants it to be. Hopefully Betty will wise up and become more attentive and intelligent than she has been. I'd love to see him devote himself more to his family, especially if Betty gets a clue and finds out what he's been up to.
I LOVE MADMEN!
The musical score, the beginning animation, the ensemble, storyline, costumes, set design, brilliant acting.
Kudos to AMC and the whole cast!
Brilliant!
I've been caught up reading/writing on the individual episode blogs, but want to say here - congratulations to Mr. Weiner/AMC/everyone involved for giving us this show.
Although I was a child, I can relate to all the scenes outside of the office & they look like my family photos & bring back memories. When discussing with family & friends, we're "do you remember.. Dad use to say that.. Mom's outfits.. we had the exact same..
I think this is one thing that is grabbing a lot of peoples' attention, along with the complicated issues of all of the characters. The writing/dialogue is just superb. Perfectly cast.
I have never blogged a TV show before, so I know I am hooked. The renewal was great news.
I love the show Mad Men and really appreciate the sets and good writing.
Good news that Mad Men will be back for another season. Any news on a DVD release of the series?
I'm really happy that this show got renewed by who do we have to wait so long? Why only 13 episodes? This show deserves a full 22 episode season.
Way to go cast and crew (and AMC); here's to season two!!! Thanks so much for television worth watching.....I knew this show was a winner half-way through the first episode. This is only the second show in probably ten or twenty years that I actually go out of my way to religiously watch (Deadwood being the other) great cast, great writing, great sets; fantastic. Please roll out season one on DVD as soon as possible. Bonus points; Christina Hendricks and January Jones (and the others) modelling the best of 1960 Haute Coutere in a DVD extra.....AMC is sitting on a pile of gold bars; believe that.....
So very glad to hear it. Maybe they could do something about the typewriters next season, so people won't feel such a need to point this tiny flaw out every other day?!
Congratulations!
Bravo! I am soooo please about the second season well of course you couldn't just leave all of us hungry viewers hanging now could you? All I want to know is when and where can we get the complete set on DVD I've never been one to enjoy a series but Mad Men takes the cake.
I wasn't around during the period this show is set in, I'm 38. But I do love the show. Its a peek into the past with the attention to detial and the exploration of the underbelly of a society that people in my age group see as some kind of pristine, innocent time. The show's characters are compelling and I see myself in a couple of them. I see other people I know in others. Its the only show on TV I make a point to watch and I'm thrilled that it was picked up for another season.
But...
Next summer is waaaay to long to wait. I'm sure the makers of the show have their reasons but it doesn't seem like such a good idea to me. I would think that a lot of folks would lose interest. We're talking an 8 or 9 month period here. Its ironic to me that a show about advertisers would commit such a monumental marketing mistake.
So happy to hear the show will continue. Completed hooked on it!!
This is GREAT news. What a wonderful show. I started in the ad business in the mid-70's and the drinking and smoking were alive and well. Even then, I was one of the very few females in a professional job, opposed to administrative support. I'm so glad I wasn't around for this period.
You have a fantastic show - wonderful actors, great writers and top class production qualities. Bring out the DVD very soon. And, please keep this show running for a very long time.
You probably need to promote this show on a broader level to attract a larger fan base. Once someone views, they will be hooked!
So glad to hear the best show on TV is coming back. I have never watched AMC before this show and now you're on my TIVO season pass. Talk about an effective ad campaign! I tell anyone who will listen to watch this show.
Mad Men is becoming one of my favorite shows. Overpowering any of my favorite modern tv shows that has come out. By far a genious idea, I hope Mad Men becomes really big!
Fabulous! For those of us in advertising the show gives the world a tiny glance into the pressures, pitfalls and foibles of our everyday lives -- lives that no one really understands.
P.S. More Christina and more of the inner workings of the agency.
I love love LOVE this show. I haven't gotten so excited about television (and I watch enough) in the longest time. I hang on every word, every visual. This is the best thing on tv hands down.
Well done ladies and gentlemen, well done! Now pour me a scotch!
IMPORTANT QUESTION:
I meant to ask this earlier....why was there no mention on this episode about Pete punching the other guy for his comment about peggy? Seems like they would have wondered why he cared so much (or at all).
Does anyone have any insight, or did the writers overlook this? Or did I miss something (entirely possible).
I love the show, but as soon as I saw a repeat I assumed they were all going to be repeats and now I've missed an episode. You need to use the TV to tell people which episodes are repeats and which episode is being repeated when.
I missed episode 10 and now I see episode 11 is not on until the 18th, if the information on the site is correct. I saw something somewhere on the site that mentioned where I could find information about when shows would be aired again, but now I can't find it.
Great show, I am addicted, great that I am able to watch it on demand on Rogers in Toronto whenever i want to, this way I never miss an episode.
Outstanding show. The only one I make time for every week. Very glad it is picked up another season.
I'm looking for a 12 step program for my addiction to Mad Men...any ideas? I'm so bummed out that I have to wait until next summer for season 2. This is the best show I've seen in a long time and, because I don't watch much t.v., I'm completely loyal to this show and have told all my friends to watch it. Matthew Weiner, you're a freakin' genius! I haven't had it this bad since Sex and the City!
Answer to Important Question from Mad fan 7204... my dad said when he was a kid, if anyone made a tasteless comment about any woman within the company of others, they'd have their ass handed to them. It was considered offensive to everyone...ahhh, the good old days. But I was curious as to why none of his colleagues picked up on that as well.

I love Peggy's role. I hope they make her a knockout so she can shove it in everyones face.
Great show! Great cast!!
Love the costumes and sets.
John Hamm is hot!!!!
Mad Men is stellar work. Best tv since Deadwood, and I'd say is right up there with Deadwood and Sopranos for best tv ever produced.
Have you seen the CRAP that the major networks are passing off as "prime time programming"? It's a joke, while Mad Men is smart, true, and utterly enjoyable. Thank you AMC for making the tv worth turning on this fall.
What the hell am I gonna do until next summer? I can't wait that long for season 2!
I was hooked when AMC was promoting the program and it certainly won me over. GREAT drama!! It's refreshing to see a show that for once is'nt "reality". I look forward to Thursday nights to watch an awsome program and just as excited that there's another season to anticipate!
Keep 'em coming!

Keep 'em coming!
I've just started watching MAD MEN, and I'm hooked right away.
All I want to say now is: PEGGY IS HOT!
In my opinion, "Mad Men" is one of the top five best TV dramatic series of ALL TIME, and moving up. I literally look forward to Thursday just to watch this show, and this hasn't happened to me in years.
The best episodes of this series rank right up there with solid short stories by Cheever or Updike.
