I like your humor. The fact that you have Peggy begrudgingly pushing out her baby while perseverating about her work situation. It's genius. Am I the only one who gets this???

This should be called "The Lost Scene". It would make a great flashback scene in the show. Brilliant!

What creativity........and the double entendre. How Clever!

I disagree with Nora Paradiso and apparently has no idea what good acting is. This person would not recognize good acting in a broadway show and would call Meryl Streep a bad actress. I thought the scene your created was really creative, funny and brilliant. As a matter of fact have you thought about switching careers to acting? You are really talented and would make a great actress!

You better stick to OB/Gyn. You must have lots of friends who voted, but you're taking away from real actors chances. I found it ver amateurish, trite, tense, with non of the disciplines of a good actor, so go back to what you know the OB. Big deal it was a labor of love. Not a win!!!!!!!!

I am an actor who voted for this entry. It is very creative, which I believe is part of the criteria for successful entries. You didn't have to be an actor to enter the contest. It is for fans of the show. A walk on role cannot help anyone's acting career. (Believe me. I've done a lot of them.) But if you love the show, it would probably be an amazing experience.

jake1,
You need to go to computer school so you'll learn not to post twice with that finger. YOU don't know what you are talking about. It's very bad acting and should not have made it to the finals. End of story!

Nora,

Why so angry and bossy about a walk-on role contest? All your comments that I've seen have been negative and telling people what they "ought" to do with their lives. Maybe you should go to go to manners school.

To Trilby, Very creative and fun take on the monologue!

Trilby, that was brilliant, clever, funny and well performed. As for Ms. Paradiso, according to the IMDB, all she's done is glorified extra work. And is apparently jealous and angry. Best of luck to you.

There is symbolism in every detail of a Mad Men episode. There is deeper meaning here as well. Nice job.

default userpic

I love that there is such irony here with the character. Peggy is pushing out a baby, and her mind is on her work situation. Brilliant.

default userpic

FYI on Nora: she entered the contest but didn't make it to the finals.

default userpic

Original. I appreciate the irony. Can't believe no one else thought to do this one this way.

default userpic

Great idea for your delivery. Glad to see diversity of the finalist selections. Makes the contest more fun! This contest is open to everyone, not just actors by trade per the rules. Go doc!

Wonderful job. I just want to say that it takes real guts for anyone to enter a contest like this one. Especially non actors/amateurs. C'mon people, let's just all have some fun with this contest, and celebrate a wonderful show we're lucky to have on TV. Keep in mind that the nonactors on here = amateur = for the love of it (loosely translated). For those who think this is the shot of their career will be sadly disappointed and are completely missing the point! Congratulations to everyone who has made the finals. You all deserve to be here. Thank you for spreading the Mad Men word!

I like how you work in the character's plight. It's as if it's the scene cleverly left out. You have delivered Mr. Weiner's very stoic Peggy Olson in sharp contrast. You've decided to put it right out there. Congratulations on making the finals. Well deserved for creativity.

default userpic

Congratulations on getting this far Trilby! Original and creative! As for the competition, ie Disgruntled Extra Nora, get a life and maybe a new profession - if you're that intimidated by contests such as these, then it looks like your little acting career isn't really going all that well now, is it? Good luck to all!

default userpic

FYI, cowardly and shameful Nora Paradiso is now going by the name "justwondering" with a new photo.

Dearest Trilby,
Thank you for your kind words. My gal and I love your entry as well. It's so creative and funny. And has a great commitment to the premise. It blows my Peggy out of the water. I too will be satisfied if you win. Go New York and Go MTA New York City Subway! See you on the the train.

Yay, Trilby! I Loved it. You make me smile.

This is like the perfect SNL spoof for Peggy Olson's character.   Either that, or depicting perfectly a MODERN DAY Peggy Olson!  Makes you think!

default userpic

Great idea for the character's monologue.  I'm glad some creativity is being recognized in the finals.  Should not be merely an audition.

default userpic

This is interesting, and really original, as well. I totally get it.  I think Peggy shows a personal disconnect on the show.  And in this video representation of Ms. Olson's character, is she frustrated by her situation at work or personal predicament or both? I think both. Interesting

I just finished watching Season 1.  Recently I started watching the show after hearing so much about it!  This was a great idea for a Peggy Olson monologue.  An original interpretation for an original series.

default userpic

Love your choice to do Peggy in labor. Wished I'd thought of that.  Well delivered, too!  So hilarious!

default userpic

Doc, get me two units STAT!  Get on this show, STAT!

default userpic

sorry for posting the same comment like five times. My computer froze and i did not know that my comment made it through so i kept on posting. BTW, great acting job, it is truly brillant!

default userpic

You and Justin and Nathaniel really get what this is all about!  Creativity and compelling!

default userpic

What's up Doc? Great to see you here amongst the other finalists! I am sure AMC would love to know you catch the best show ever while you're on call! I should know, you've spread the word on every floor here to the patients and staff! Thanks for turning all of us on to tune into Mad Men! We are all hoping to see the greatest doc in 1962 or perhaps in 1964? Goodluck, Dr. Tener!
