This is in response to Nora Paradiso. Sorry, honey, but you are going to have to weasel your way to an attempt at recognition and success another way. You didn't make it. Your video was not chosen. Live with it. Avis, this was wonderful. Wouldn't change a thing. Believable, and your voice is just fine.

Nora - you should not be giving ANYONE advice on how to properly apply make-up! Avis - classic performance, classic look - you are a star!

Your use of props is awful. I didn't once believe you were putting on make-up and was very distracting. Your delivery had nothing to it. I heard you real voice on other entries. What is this hoarseness in your throat. You need voice lessons badly. Not good acting. Not a win! Your hair is ok.

This isn't really like me to be so direct in a comment to an absoulute stranger nor post something like this. But since I think Nora's comment is entirely out of line I will lay it out... Nora is jealous and bitter. She needs a new photo that isn't from the 80's.

I think you were excellent Avis and look forward to seeing more! You are so captivating on screen.

And Nora, FYI, Avis has put that voice on for her character...not that you would have any idea what that is.

Avis, I really think you should take Nora's (a background actor on tv shows that looks like Tammy Fae) critiques to heart.

But I would admit that my friend Elizabeth Reynolds video is excellent as well! Love her too :)

Great job Avis. As for a certain someone who sees fit to attack people with her inane commentary I would like to suggest that the best way to deal with a truly sad and pathetic troll is to ignore them.

I guess it's a dog-eat-dog world out there in Hollywood. I can't believe how mean-spirited Nora is. It's obviously a case of the little green man. It's very immature, in my opinion. Did she try out and not make it? I can see why, if so. She is not beautiful on the inside! Just ignore her.

I have watched this video so many times and love it! Understated to perfection. After viewing Mad Men for the first time, I can truly see where Avis would be a wonderful addition to this highly stylized show. Great show, great writers, and wonderful actors. Saw all your performances from your other roles, and you were quite terrific in all (and I loved your Don Draper) You were about the only one who had the lines down perfect, the writers should love you for that. There were tons that did not make the cut who truly deserved it & I find it shocking that the Mad Men peeps overlooked some stellar perfornances. I'm glad you made the cut because you deserve to be here. I have to say that there are couple here that are quite painful to watch "really painful" and it kills me that, theTodd Andrews guy did not make the top 18, that guy had one of the best performances out of the entire pool, did you see his clip on Betty(?) it was Brilliant. Avis - I posted on other pages that Mike Kimmel was my favorite "Betty" and Elizabeth Reynolds was my favorite "Don", but the Joan clips were the strongest for me. Valerie and Sabine's clips were hoots, but they cancelled each other out in terms of my vote, so it came down to you and Robert. I gave you each a vote. I loved your delivery and to me, you nailed the "Be honest" line at the end better than anyone. Good luck!
