this chic seems like she was transported right out of the sixties. my folks lived in this era and i've seen the 8mm movies and this chic is them, let me tell you that.
OMG!! This is the absolute best...drunk, pitiful...perfect in every way...convincing...funny...performance I've seen in a LONG time...Valerie, you are truly a talented TALENTED lady...hysterical! It's actually addicting to watch...soo natural, it makes one wonder what you do in your "free" time...
Valerie, fantastic job. So convincing - you brought me back so far that I felt I could grope you without fear of a harassment suit. You made me believe in a world where the words "inappropriate" and "conduct" are never paired.....no.....never. The tee many martoonis delivery was impeccable. And don't get me started about that harlequin! No really....you shouldn't get me started....see, I have a collection at home.......
Tears are running down my cheeks. God Valerie, this is genius. The hair, the suit, the glasses, the martini, the harlequin lamp are great but your delivery is perfection. Great script, wonderful!!! You're fabulous!
Brilliant and well done. funny, and very real. sort of like mom, probably lots of moms, but sexy too. The 60's cocktail set where the women drank like fish but kept thier figures..where is this actress? Drunk works for this character better then the real thing I'm afraid.
Valerie, Thank you so much for your kind comments!
Perhaps we should work on an etiquette video for drunken secretaries! You can be the spokes model for the drunken gals of the office!
Sometimes LA isn't such a big place after all. I'm almost positive I spotted Valerie at a party over the weekend...and let me tell you, she's a looker!
Valerie, I like your style! Brilliant performance and those people crossing the lens is a nice touch. Totally sells the scene along with the party "walla".
So, what do you say, wanna get together for a drink sometime?
Valerie, still one of the best. You may want to lay off the sauce though. It really impacted your performance. This video makes me laugh every time. Glad you are back on editor's pick. You deserve it.
Valerie, you could play one of those women that's always crying in the bathroom...but with a twist. Just once it would be great to see one of them go into a drunken rage for a change. How's that for an idea. I hope the writers are reading these blogs.
As you may or may not be aware, only the top 18 vote getters will advance to the final round. I just did a check of the top 18 and you are right on the cusp at #18! However you are only a few votes ahead of the next two entries. Hit up everyone you can think of to vote for you to make sure you make it to the finals!!!
This is LOL funny! Best original spin on Joan and you made it your own! Brilliant! If you're not an actress for real then you might think about it. The cat eye glasses were the best addition and very cool!
Valerie, you are HILARIOUS!!! What a great interpretation and I loved the way you absolutely owned it, great job my lady. Great job. I hope I get to see your talent lighting up the screen or stage sometime soon. You sooo deserve it. And I have to say thanks for being such a class act, your kind comments to me made my whole week!

Laugh out loud funny and original take on Joan. One of the best so far. So many great nuances I can't stop watching it. Good job Valerie.
Awesome performance! Check out all the little things she does with her eyes and mouth...and I dig those glasses!
A great audition from an obviously talented actress.
I enjoyed it. It was funny and I like the drunken spin on the dialogue.
I'm still laughing - this is so funny and the glasses are priceless. Kudos Valerie - your AWESOME:)
Thanks for the great laughs:)

The turn of phrase. The lilt. The inebriation. Sheer poetry.
genius :D
what a performance!
Valerie, you got my vote. Outstanding.
At least she didn't put the lamp shade on her head. Very talented, Valerie. You captured the '60's feel perfectly.
Remember Foster Brooks? Well, if he'd been a woman....
I have MET Valerie! This is a great great job. Please put her on the show, but as a regular character. Brilliant bitter drunk. Snaps.

I think Mad Men could really use sexy librarian on the show. So what if she gets a little tipsy every once in a while...all the better!
Valerie redefines the scene (an improvement), she definitely deserves a role.
Thanks for making me laugh today! You are an incredibly talented actress.
I love Valarie!! She's just so....so....so...Joan!! Her comedic timing is brilliant! Let's see a great new face.

Pure comic genius, Valerie. You are an awesome talent! It would be a crime against humanity not to give this role to you.
Loved it:) What a wonderful take!
Valerie's performance out-joans-JOAN! Brava Val, you hit all the notes, and thanks for the belly laughs.

Valerie, I miss seeing you among the Editor's Picks. Seems like they post new ones every few days.
I still think your scene is one of the best ones up here. Rest assured your Joan will not be forgotten!
Wow! Very witty and engaging. I'll have what she's having!
amazing.....you need to get back on the editors pick list, I agree with Mr. Bilko yours is one of the best Joan Holloway scenes on here. ;)
In my less than humble opinion, this is one of the five best submissions. Bravo!
I keep coming back to your video when I want to smile and have a nice laugh. Really funny and well acted. Absolutely in the top few. Good luck.
That last comment was from my friend, who was using my computer and not me complementing myself. Thanks Mike!
Now that's a smart actor! Congrats on pulling off a truly entertaining piece!
I love the way she scans the room and then says "well" with that look on her face. Brilliant! It cracks me up everytime.
Sometimes LA isn't such a big place after all. I'm almost positive I spotted Valerie at a party over the weekend...and let me tell you, she's a looker!
I want that lamp - just name your price.
Outstanding!
OK. How do you say, Killed it. We have all seen this women. Hysterical, whimsical, tipsy, all at the same time. Bravo!
Great work! Lots of wonderful moments. And congrats on making Critic's Pick!
Great job Valerie!! Very original!! You look like you were plucked right from that era.
Good to see you back in the limelight again.

This is one of my absolute favorites. Cracks me up every time. Great job!
Sensational! That is just priceless!
Valerie, dear sweet Valerie, don't worry, we're going to find you a friend...
