About Rich: "I love Mad Men, and would love to do anything they let me do. Anything."
Editor's Note: We told Rich Sommer (a.k.a. Harry Crane) that his video was submitted too late to win but he insisted that he was born to play Peggy and that this was his last shot to convince Matt Weiner.

Hey Mr. Sommer,
I'm Robespierre, among those trying to emulate Ms. Moss in the contest! Ah, the presumption!
Lately guillotined, I speak from beyond the grave to tell you that YOU should play Peggy from now on.
By the way, who's that pretty lady at the door . . . .? (smiling emoticon goes here)
Your Mad Men fan,
Robes Baby
Ha! That's great! Hollywood revealed. Hang in there Rich, your day will come.
Nice try but the acting is very amateurish. And neither one of you look like the type who would be cast on a show like Mad Men.
;-)
Poor Rich, missed the deadline! Well, at least he's got himself before the eyes of the MM PTB, maybe they will cast him as Pegg's long lost twin sister! LOL
Killer job Rich.. To bad you didn't get it in on time. Now you will never get screen time on the show ;-)
~Ryan Messner~
Harry, you know it's really frowned upon for behind-the-camera guys to "lurk" outside the stars' dressing rooms.
Winner!
(That's excellent... the actors are watching the contest - nice)
This is brilliant. Makes me want to get to act with you guys even more badly. Must be fun set.
Check out my video, see if you think I'd be a good addition:

Ashman, that was good,I guess a little too violent for Mad Men.But I liked it .Reminds me of my neighborhood here in Chicago!!!!
Dear Rich,
A for effort but D for deadline! Perhaps you would benefit from my etiquette classes. I should schedule a lesson on how to avoid tardiness. They are mainly reserved for young professional women but the pony tail would fool them all!
Dutifully yours,
The Perfect Secretary
I also have an entry that will not be eligible. Late entry for Mad Men Video Contest. Submitted this on time but was told to cut it down from 1:45 to 1:00. Did and then when I re-submitted, it was a day too late.
you can see it on YouTube under:

P.S. nice pony tail:)))))))))))))))
mine was never poster either although I received an email stating that it had been approved. oh, well. I'd think I'm more suited for Breaking Bad anyway...
here it is:

.....Rich, the ponytail is a nice touch. Who took the vid?
Thanks for the kicks - love you guys!
Asher, your vid was great..... a little more Tarantino than Weiner, but a stylish, amusing, snappy rendering nonetheless...great soundtrack...
I'm posting here in the hope the the people running this contest will see this:
I just double checked the rules and they state that the top 18 vote getters move on to the finals and registered members can vote once per day per video.
ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!!
That's insane becuase this site is so buggy who can say who really got the most votes. At times I've been able to register votes for people twice within a minute and at other times I've been prevented from voting for my favorites for 2-3 days.
Besides I was sure the finalists would be chosen based on a combination of factors - i.e. votes, comments, editorial decision by the Mad Men producers. If they go solely by vote totals then this competion is a joke, it will lose all credibility!
Rich, sorry I had to get all militant on your comments page.
For the record YOU ROCK and your video is very funny! A truly poignant depiction of life at the bottom of the production ladder. For those of us who work in the business we know exactly what it's like starting out.
These are great, but check out the clip with a fume-huffer, stuffed bear, and Ace Frehley doll.

Rich,
I knew this was one of the best renditions of Peggy I've seen yet. I'm watching you now on Episode 3 right now on the Sunday Marathon. You are so great. What a funny thing to do to enter the contest and too late to boot. It's hilarious. Thanks for the laugh, I've watched it a few times! Ha!Ha!Ha! (I'm laughing out loud)
I can't believe it that was the real "Peggy Olson" at the door! Oh, she's too funny. Great skit. You both are great!
Don't give up Rich. There's a place for you. I missed watching the episode tonight because I was checking out these great 1 min. videos online. Thank goodness for tivo. (you and the show kick butt!)
