I do like the sound of the bird tweeting in the background.
Feels natural.
Sorry, I do not see you as "Don Draper". I voted for you because I feel once you are seen by the producers and writers of the show they will recognize that you are perfect for a totally "new" character in the storyline. Your "look" is spot on for the era! In my personal opinion you could be cast as a "nemesis" to Pete Campbell. I would love to see you on "MAD MEN"! Best of luck to you!
Chris is definitely the strongest "Don Draper" I've seen. He is the next Tom Cruise. Adorable! Adorable! He gets my vote without a doubt.
Intense, smooth delivery but something about the glare was just creepy.
2 things have I learned today - 1) This is a great way to cast actors. 2) NOT ONLY DOES CHRIS PRANGLEY HAVE THE PERFECT LOOK FOR THIS ROLE, HE ALSO HAS A DEGREE IN MARKETING (for those of you who don't know, 'Mad Men' is set in the world of Advertising.) I believe Chris Prangley will contribute greatly to a second Golden Globe for this show. -jbm
Good luck
I could see him bringing a new dimension to the show.
This guy's perfect for the role. Interesting, mysterious, kinda creepy. I don't have much time in my day to watch TV, but Chris's portrayal would definitely motivate me to tune in.
For me he's all over the place and it looks like on some parts that he was looking at the lines instead of remembering them
so natural...the voice and everything...
most of the entries in the contest so far have been underwhelming, but this guy blew me away.
forget the walk-on part.
give this guy a recurring role!
I agree. He is definitely MM Creeps Club material! (as in Pete Campbell's competition for Slimy Worm of the Decade)
Awesome! I hope he wins, and I hope he ends up playing someone who sleeps with Pete Campbell's wife
Maybe they will cast him as the father of Peggy's baby (old boyfriend from her home town of Brooklyn--having impregnated her right before she started work at SC) who has come to Sterling Cooper to interview for a job (because he heard about Peggy's luck there) and has NO idea about the baby! There I go again with my imagination running wild...I'm so glad the new season is starting--Thank God!!!!!!! Just a few more weeks!
Chris looks like he has something under his sleeve ready to strike at any moment. Definitely a rival for Pete Campbell....Let's see it happen!
Eyecandy maybe... He should've focused his eyes at one spot for these lines. Oh well, maybe Betty can use another salesman at her doorstep.
You got my vote.
I was not okay after watching that. Not at all.
Oh, by the way, sir, please insert a shaft up your rectum.

Nope, not even close. Sorry you don't have the MM look. You have more of that early 1980's look than 1960's look. I see you breaking into the "Addictived to Love" song.
hahaha, you guys are hilarious. Your comments don't affect his work. Bottom Line, it's the best on the site so far.
Good God, Walex...if you can't post something nice...go to some other board on some other site, please. Did you post that on a dare or were you just drunk or high????
Who or what in the name of hell is he looking at? He looks like Tom Cruises brother not a MM.
WOW...A. He's got Chops (60's chops to boot)
B. He's completely natural and takes risks that in the long run prove to be wise and successful. And that brings us to # 3.
3. He's the only one I've seen so far make the lines come off the page and actually hit you with element of surprise.
I look forward to watching you on the upcoming season Mr. Prangley or should I say Mr. Draper!!!
I agree this guy does look like he could be Tom Cruise's brother, But what's up with so much negativity with these other posts. He's very engaging, his lines don't sound like their being read out of book, and he leaves us wanting to see what he's going to do next...pretty good for 30 seconds of acting.
P.S. J Turchi, I'm guessing he's looking at other board members...Yeah, it could have been a little sharper, but it gets the point across.
Christian Bale/Tom Cruise appeal - can't pin it but keeps you intrigued wanting more. Clean-cut, young executive look coupled with marketing degree definite staples for the role. Best so far!
This guy doesn't know who he's talking to. And, he's screwed up the words. "Advertising is Happiness"? It doesn't make sense. He's got a good look for it though...
Ho hum...not much here...good looks, not a lot of acting ability...tried too hard to appear like a snake..but you could tell he was trying..wasn't real for me..turn in another video
Hey Chris, great job. You seem like you'd be a lot of fun to act with!
Hey All. I wanted to thank you for the votes and support. These web contests can be amusing, but FUN at the same time...Thanks again!
I don't think I'd want to be lined to Mr. Cruise-I think you can do this with a look of your own. Nice work Chris
Oh, no, this is not Don Draper and I wonder why he has so many votes. Must know a lot of people. You're a good lookin' guy and all, and I"m sure very nice, just not the best Draper. John Sowinski, now THAT's a Don Draper. Have you seen that guy???
You HAVE the look. I almost thought you could implode into a "Here's Johnny" (ala Jack) if pushed into it. There is something a little scary... but that could serve you well.
Good Luck!
Chris, your voice is strong, but there is little variation in your pitch, volume, and inflection. Sorry, but I was underwhelmed. We've seen much better actors in this forum, such as Myrna Aguilar, Mary Jacobson, and that new guy, Dave Fields.
I must agree it's not my best work, this was something thrown together in less than 10 minutes on a dare, but I do enjoy your criticism and compliments alike...It's been Fun!!!
Give me the script for a day and....my friends I will show you some magic or more creepiness..haha
Trippy. There is something about your eyes in certain parts that conveys a darker quality. It's interesting. Would like to see what you could do with a new role...Best of luck!
Acting is the work of oneself, who by, putting their "original person" aside, becomes what is then seen as the "Other". The ability to react truthfully within given imaginary circumstances." Chris Prangley, you are definitely talented and play the role of Don Draper very well. It was very polished and composed, which are two important qualites to have. Looks can get one very far, but to be a successful actor, one must have the kind of talent talent that is distinctive from the rest of the competition. I see a combination of Tom Cruise and Matt Damon in this. Very well done Chris!
Chris Prangley (Don Draper) very well done! Acting is the work of oneself, who by, putting their "original person" aside, becomes what is then seen as the "Other". The ability to react truthfully within given imaginary circumstances."
Chris Prangley you did a very fine job! Acting is a beautiful art when one can believe what is being portrayed. You were very composed, natural, and believable. Looks can only get one so far, but to stand out from the crowd in the world of acting, one must have talent that is distinctive from the rest. You have it! I am looking forward to seeing you on the television and the big screen. You will definitely be there within the next year or so.
